Matthias quickly turned and left, as neatly as any guy can in side-stepping the date.


''So uhh... why not the date, sir?'' One of the fighters asked on the way back.
''Not many can say they've gone with the fire rogue!'' The other piped up, laughing as if she was a target.
''Mmmm, yes... dating someone, with a lowered guard, to someone who's an expert at backstabbing and subtle kills is such a smart move.'' Matthias responded, sarcastically. ''We've just formed an alliance with a prominent guild, one who's art is in subterfuge. Once the alliance is tested can such fraternisation even be considered. For now, I can relax the men from checking their backs every night.''
''Soooo... it has nothing to do with being caught out with the offer?'' A fighter that had been with Matthias from day 1, asked cheekily.
''None at all...''

((Here I was, signing up for the only currently available game that had rules that explicitly made roleplaying give you no benefits whatsoever in hopes that my abysmal writing ability would go unnoticed... and still these people manage to go off on a tangent to make a completely useless alliance, flooding the thread with their flowing, envy-inspiring paragraphs of talky stuff in the process.

Hey you can always make an alliance with me :P I have no problem working with the guilds to kill other guilds :P.

1. I'm busy trying to off my traitorous guildmate.

2. I'm crazy.

((Sheesh, I know, I hate Rping, myself.

As for the Meta stuff, Alexandria seems to be doing a good job of keeping people in check, I have some more stuff to do today before I can start on an update, and I'm pretty sure there's a person or too that needs to post still, anyway.

Thanks everyone for being better about locations and whatnot. When I'm back I'll tell you all about some of the more advanced stuff like upgrading buildings, and working on an update.))

((Whatever it is you two are doing, you're doing it right, because I have no clue as to what you're plotting.

As for the upgrading of buildings, like I promised earlier, you can take any normal, unused building and  improve upon it to grant various benefits. The only distinct buildings right now are the Guild Halls, which can't be taken, and the Market Houses, which provide income. You can spend Guild Funds to upgrade your buildings to various uses.

You can only upgrade normal buildings, ones that have an upgrade already on them can't get a second one, that includes the pre-existing Market Houses.

Example Buildings:
Tavern: 50 gold. Cheap, can provide bonus income, additional guild members, or other things. Requires a guild Leader to visit to gain bonus.
Recruiting Office: 100 Gold. Provides additional Guild Members.
Shops: 100 Gold. Provides income, Guild Leaders can purchase items from them cheaper than at the Markets.

These are just some examples, the only real limit is your imagination and your ability to make excuses as to why you should be able to build one. Eventually, being able to own your own Airdock and build your own Airships would be feasible, but that's too expensive for anyone to do right now.

Seriously, though, I see some serious advantages to being a brawns over brains type right now. Just because, look at that starting income. Shouldn't be a problem in the long run, though, mage-types always get the better end game.))
