You fall down through the portal. It closes behind you.

Walk through passage until something interesting is found.

You pick up the pentacle and head back to the gallery. South or West?

[Elephant Parade]

South.

Edit: Wait, does that lead back to the original room?

South.

Nope, that's the East passage.

You head down the East passage. This one is long, dark, and windy. It slopes downward, and you think you feel it getting hotter.

Continue down passage. Make sure not to fall into lava.

[Remuthra]

Continuing on, the passage becomes more rough and natural looking. Suddenly, as you turn a corner, you notice a strange beaked brainlike creature about twenty feet away. It has not noticed you yet. It floats gracefully in midair, and four long tentacles dangle from it. Behind it, at the next bend in the tunnel, you think you see something glinting in the wall.

[Elephant Parade]

Attempt to converse with beaked creature.

[Remuthra]

Upon detecting your presence, the creature lets out a birdlike shriek and flees down the passage away from you.

[Dorsidwarf]

Pursue it at once!

[Remuthra]

As you run after it, you move through a larger open cave with some sort of what looks like simple dwellings. Several more bird creatures flee the cavern and join the first one. Continuing your pursuit, you eventually find yourself on the bank of a crevasse. The brain things have hidden in a cave about ten feet down the opposite side. They continue to shriek in fright.
