Elian over there shut his hood for a week and wouldn't speak to me, when I took care of that spear wound he took to the leg. So at least I know he doesn't like me."

Adelaide counts the sins on her fingers with deliberate care.

Then she begins to weep into her beer.

Luckily, Tyrone doesn't give one solitary shit. He told the truth. That is all.

Unfortunately for Tyrone, there was atleast one person who gave a shit. One that was summarily dumped on Tyrone as Ralai stood up and threw a haymaker at Tyrone. (The thought process atributed to this action was more or less inebriated, as Ralai hadn't really refused the offer of a free drink or two.)

Foster moved quicker than one might think he could, sliding across the table and kicking Ralai's forearm so his punch went wide.

"I'm not one to start a bar brawl, but I can finish it if you'd like me to. Now, the three of you. Adelaide, you need to be less sensitive. Tyrone, you need to be more sensitive. Ralai, even if he did make Adelaide cry, we don't attack our own allies. All three of you, a mercenary's most important possession is his reputation, and if you keep this up you're going to tarnish ours."

The loremaster sighed.

"I can just tell this is a magnificent start. Glory days ahead, everyone, and big paydays. Enough sarcasm, let's just get on the road. If you want to argue, you can do it while we walk."

Foster dropped a couple of coins on the table - more than enough to pay for the tab - and led the group outside... some by force, if necessary.

"Mount up if you got 'em. It's going to be a fair bit."

(and now I'm off to stat up enemies.)

Adelaide dried her eyes on a cloth napkin daintily.

"Sniff...sniff......Okay, Mr. Foster...I'm alright..."

She followed Foster outside, keeping a good distance from the cruel man.

Ralai shook the kicked forearm in pain, though aside from that the boot wouldn't leave much of a mark.

: "Ah, can't have some fun slogging punches at one another to blow off some steam? No fun at all sir." Ralai said in a snarky tone, smirking all the while.

: "Still, that was an impressive tableslide, especially since it was a dinky tavern one. Though I would not be suprised if it was a learned thing." exclaimed Ralai as they started to follow Foster outside.

Tyrone was twisting away from the punch even before it was pushed out of the way, nodding a bit to the commander as he explains his expectations to them. He nods, standing up.

"Yes sir. I'll do my best, sir."

He would walk out with them, swinging lightly up onto his charger, Sargaras, and heading of with them.

"If you two still want to fight, wait until we're away from the town. I can't have any in-fighting be public knowledge. Like I said, it makes us look bad. So stow it for an hour or two."

He glanced at Ralai.

"Partly reflexes, partly because I learned that some ten, twenty years ago to impress ladies. It's a more useful move than you would think."

[Taricus]

: "Huh, I'd have thought you had picked it up running away from said ladies fathers, boyfriends and castle guards. Ralai said, the smile turning into a wry grin.

Foster smiled back.

"Like I said, it's a useful move to know."

Late that afternoon, just before sunset, the six-man party neared their destination, only to be greeted by smoke rising from the small houses they were meant to protect.

"Damned if they weren't right. Come on, let's hurry!"

They could already see the forms of the bandits attacking the buildings in the distance...

Notes: Weather is clear. Foster will move during the Allies phase, after the Player phase but before the Enemy phase. Rhett Knight and Clair Button may post actions during the Enemy phase. And a reiteration for those who have Stillness/Provoke: These are now activated abilities to draw/don't draw aggro unless enemies are forced otherwise for one round. Finally, Rhett and Adelaide might recognize one another; the characters have a C-rank support (they got it early in exchange for the point they would have gotten at Total Level 3).
