Hey GWG I'd assume you just arrived together since your action was to go with the reduced escort, you were just to blind to notice the escort was 3x the size it should of been.

I ain't gonna play a rouge banker your kingliness, just waiting for you to respond so I can start out lining my initial plans.

Not to me, the blades deliver him and are now going to get to work.

By all means, but don't count on getting money this early I need to meet a lot of people before I start deciding what to do with the money.

I also have 1 question, do we hire a commander in the same fashion as training soldiers? One or two of my potential ventures will require guarding, I plan to look into groups of mercenaries anyway but it might turn out to be cheaper to train my own men so I'll need a commander to reduce the cost and to allow for higher quality men.

Find a PC with the Command trait and convince them to work with you instead of building up the Royal Army.  There are two in the world at present.  The reason for this is that I prefer to give PCs things to do rather than take away from their ability to do things - as an NPC commander would.  This is the same reason why the Mistress-at-Arms' daughters only have fluff abilities and don't contribute mechanically.

They're both gonna be a little busy I think with the royal army, so probably gonna be mercenaries. It will save time in any case if I'm able to find 1-2 good mercenary units once I've finished out lining my plans to make the nation wealthy and me very rich.

Nope, I won't. BTW, you expressed interest in the game, I gave you go ahead already. As long as you have set goals in mind and want to play a courtier, nothing is stopping you.

I'm not currently in the mood for roleplaying as a Fundamentalist Ogre priest. I need to save my fake scumbaggery for other things.

I'm afraid Ogres aren't player characters (being magical shapeshifting descendants of the Titans), but you can certainly play a human member of the Ogre Papacy.  Only the Archbishops and Pope are actually Ogres - combined with a low birth rate and Turkish-style succession (when the Ogre Pope dies, the archbishops literally have a battle-royale to determine the new Pope) there aren't a lot of ogres to go around.  The Ogre Papacy is loosely styled after the Catholic church of the medieval era, so take that hierarchy as a base to go off if you wish.

Ogres who copulate with humans ritualistically eat the human afterward, so no.  Plus they won't breed true anyway.

Edit:  A note on turns and timeskips.  Once the current Westhills affair is concluded (one way or another) we will skip forward one year.
