Look out guys. There's a plot hole around here. It's already gotten two of us. Everyone be careful.

"So... what types of stories did you guys like before... all this?"
The writer makes a vague hand gesture all around them.

Jarrod turns around from trying to open the windows.

"I wasn't much of a reader myself. I focused more on medical texts."

"My sister liked reading medical books. Not really my thing though, I prefer fantasy and science fiction novels. I've actually written a few fantasy stories."
Kyle tilts his head in a contemplative manner.

Chapter 25: Breaking & Entering

~Day 1~
August 8th, 2015
1:50:24 P.M.

Wander round the house, then check out the shed.
Walk with Charles

Charles and Clair both head around to the back of the house, moving towards the shed. The door is unlocked, and the whole structure seems unscathed. How interesting.

[Charles&Clair Perception: (2+4)/2 = 3]

As the two of them wander inside, Charles steps on a strange slippery surface, jerking his leg up as soon as he instinctively realizes something is off.

[Charles Agility: 5]
[Snake: 4]
[Charles Will: 6]

Charles runs out of the shed immediately as a green-and-black mass slithers towards him. He manages not only to run faster, but also manages to not scream like a small child.

sighs walk back to the house but not before taking note of the surroundings.
"Fuck..."
As always, keep my axe ready and investigate the back of the house.
Kyle looks around the back of the house cautiously.

Wulf takes a look at the surroundings. In the distance is the forest, no doubt infested. Around here is just plain flatland, and the road that goes off into the horizon. He joins Ben and Kyle in investigating the back of the house.

The exterior of the back is just a brick wall, with a single locked door. While investigating the house, the three also notice Charles running out of the shed and sprinting away for some odd reason.

Check the windows, see if I can't get in from there.

Jarrod looks to the windows. The windows on the sides are high up, connected to another story of the house. The windows on the front are closed and draped, but they seem quite accessible in terms of height and placement.

Omeen tries the front door, which is also obviously locked. He sighs, just as Layla brushes past him. Reaching into her pocket, she pulls out a bobby-pin.

[Layla Lockpicking: 3+3]

After a bit of skillful maneuvering, Layla twists the doorknob, and the whole door creaks open. "Hey, I got it."

Spoiler: Charles (Aseaheru) (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Kyle Johnson (kj1225) (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Ben Ross (anailater) (click to show/hide)

Map has barely changed at all from the last update, so I don't see a need for a new one.

Kyle goes to investigate the shed with his shotgun ready.
"Hey, if Ben could kick down the back door we could get in the house from this way."
