Hunting

Maybe I'm overlooking something, but is there coming hunting related on the new release?

With tracking being more developed, hunters could team-up, squad like, and try to catch wild animals instead of instantly slaughtering them all the time. Possibly in combination with ambushing/rouge squad as an extra military role?

It gets a bit boring, with that many cagetraps around trying to catch some fancy wildlife, getting al those gobbo's as by catch instead of meeting them in the field.

As far as I know, Hunting labor behavior isn't getting an overhaul, other than the combat portion.

Deepblade's Standardized Creature Parts, for when you're pissed about all the different types of animal products there are.

Nothing to do with hunting in Fort mode is being changed.

However, tracking and footprints will be in Adventure Mode.

Weeeell, that's not completely true. The combat speed split will make most prey animals now run faster than your dwarves, so hunting with meleedwarves should soon be a thing of the past :>

Well I just meant nothing to do with the Labor behavior itself.

Got that, still felt like a good thing to point out, since this will have fairly large consequences for hunting ^^
