Question about cross training and atributes

Firstly: Best method to cross train.
Secondly: I have no idea what cross-training does.
The Wiki says it increases attributes, but what attributes? How? How does one even quantify these attributes?

Did you read the wiki page? Each different program says which attributes it trains.
