"Not just enemies..."

"My friends, too! I can see Tyrn and Jago down that corridor! They made it!"

Diana waved at her allies, trying to get their attention. She was so happy to see them again. They hadn't been separated long, but up until now they were all in enemy hands. The situation was different now.

That's when it hit her. Tyrn... he needed to know. She didn't look forward to breaking the news. It could wait until they had escaped. That's what being a leader meant; making the best decisions possible that she could. Telling him now might affect their chances of getting out.

She felt terrible making that choice, but it was the only one she could. She turned to Ursa.

"The man with the spear is my sparring partner, Tyrn. The blond man in the back is Jago. He's an archer, so..."

She shrugged at the large man.

Ursa nodded in satisfaction as Diana began shouting and waving.

: "Good, Sword Man did job. Now must escape with friends."

He listened as Diana introduced two of them, futilely attempting to commit their names to memory. In his mind, Tyrn became "Spear Man" while Jago became simply "Archer". Arrow-users needed no other names.

: "Princess not worry; Ursa made promise and Ursa never break promise."

Diana nodded.

"The others must not be far behind them. And that reminds me. There's another archer among them. His name is Oscar. I just wanted to give you advance warning, so he wouldn't surprise you."

Not one...not two...but three archers...? The big man gritted his teeth and began muttering to himself.

"Ursa never break promise, Ursa never break promise, Ursa never break promise..."

Diana put a hand on his shoulder.

"...Are you going to be all right, Ursa? you look awfully pale. You know, Ciel is a healer. She can take a look at you once we join up."

((I'm amazed she can reach his shoulder :p ))

Ursa shook his head, eyes still closed.

: "Wounds are not bad. That just...lot of arrows to keep eye on. Lot of possible enemies." A lot of stress for sure, making sure none of the archers could attack Diana. He was only one man with an axe, how could he possibly keep a constant watch on all of them?

: "Thanks, but Princess should see healer first. Princess important, Ursa is not."

(She has to reach wayyyy up. :P)

"They're all on our side, Ursa. No need to watch all of them."

She patted his shoulder and lowered her arm back to her side. It was hurting a little to keep it lifted that far up. He had a point, too. She was the important one here. But... she couldn't make it far on her own. A leader was only as strong as her allies.

"I'm not hurt that badly. I can continue on like this, now that I'm confident we'll make it out."

Rodan to 16,14, by the way.

At the sight of another wave of enemies, Ursa leapt forward, hatchet already swinging.

Move to (15,5) and HURL Hatchet at the soldier!

"No! I'm not leaving you here to get overwhelmed by these thieving bastards!"

They had taken her family, her home, her country, and even now were still looting the castle. This would not be tolerated.

...But on the other hand Ursa was right. She probably shouldn't rush out there blindly. That spear-wielder would certainly have the advantage over her if she ran out to fight. Perhaps it would be best to wait where she stood, for an opening to run in and help Ursa. That's what she would do.

Diana holds position.
