As Kale awakens, he notes that the atmosphere is somehow off. After a quick look at his surroundings, the thief realizes what it is.

There aren't many guards this morning. With all the new prisoners I'd think there'd be an increase if any change. I think something unusual is happening around here. He examined the guards in hopes that one of them would somehow, most likely by speaking, give information of the event taking place.

Jago was still trembling terribly, but thanks to the actions of Freya, he was no longer panicking. Now, in the corner... he was just waiting, for a chance, even a sliver, to get out.

Diana saw a young man holding a lance just outside her door. "Uh, sorry miss, but I've been told that only the General is allowed to escort you to the dungeons until further notice. Is there somewhere else you need to go?"

~~~
The cart pulled to a stop again, and after what seemed like several minutes there was a thump against the side of the cart. "C'mon, get out, no one's here!"
~~~

The solitary guard in the room gave Kale a look. "The hell do you want, pickpocket?"

Ursa poked his head out of the hay first, surveying the area before leveraging his considerable bulk out of the cart. He spoke in a low growl, the closest he could normally get to a whisper.

: "Where next? Ursa not see prisoners anywhere."

Diana swept past him.

"You can either follow me and tell them I was determined to get my way, or you can stay here and tell them you let me go on my own. We both know you aren't going to stop me since so much as laying a hand on the prince's fiance would get you in even worse trouble than letting me go on my way, so which are you going to pick? Follow or stay? You have five seconds before I round that corner and I'm out of sight."

She continued to walk, hoping her bluff worked. She had absolutely no intentions of marrying whatever slimeball passed as a prince - or at least, as far as Exsten was concerned - these days.

Kale was well aware that asking the guard about the low quantity of them was pointless. In fact, aside from apologizing, there were few safe responses. Still, Kale wasn't feeling quite that submissive. He gave a shrug and stopped acknowledging the guard after that point, instead going to the back of his cell where he usually sits, and hoping to be left to his own thoughts.

Philip shrugged. "I don't actually know where the dungeon is. Maybe we could find one of the servants?" The boy kept glancing out the doors, clearly becoming nervous.

~~~
The boy soldier ran to get ahead of Diana, and placed his lance diagonally between them. "I'd be flogged! You have to go back to your room. I promise, I'll make sure the general knows you want to head down there, alright?"
Hopping out of the cart, Brann glanced around. "Right. They'll be in the dungeon most likely. There should be a way down there somewhere close by so that the servants can easily take food down to the prisoners. If you don't know where that is, you should just get out of here. No need for you to become any more involved than you already are."
Diana gave the soldier a long, cold glare.
"Do you REALLY want to bother the general about me wanting to tell my friend that his father died during the invasion? He has a right to know, and to hear it from a friend instead of one of the people responsible."
The boy winced under Diana's iron gaze. "...I'm sorry miss, really, I'm just doing what I'm told, honest. We could go straight to the throne room, the General should be there, and he can take you from there. Is that alright?"
~~~

"Are you sure?" Philip asked in response to Brann. He took another peek out the door.

Diana sighed.

"...Very well then. Let's go."

"Would you rather stay and fight? If you wish to fight I will not force you away, but it would sadden me to see someone as brave as you lose their life because of something I allowed them to do."

"I'd just be in your way... I think the kitchen is through that hallway down there." Philip pointed out the door, and down a narrow corridor. "Maybe you could find someone there to help, I dunno. I'm going to leave before they get suspicious. Good luck!" And on that note, the boy left the way the three had come.

Ursa nodded approvingly. The Boy was brave to get them this far. He and the other man could take care of things from here.

: "After you." he said, gesturing towards the door.

Brann nodded and slipped silently into the hallways. Hand on his sword, he headed down towards the kitchen, hoping to find a sympathetic servant before he found a guard.
