Isard merely pointed at the horizon, where the castle was coming into view. "One war, at least, is coming to an end." In the distance, banners could be seen streaming from the walls.

Red and black. Not blue and gold, the colors of Durhiel, but rather the colors of Exsten.

"...WHAT!?"

Diana was a mess of conflicting emotions, but currently the winning one was anger. At herself and at Exsten. She should have tried to resist harder, to run and lose the pursuers. She should have known they wouldn't have pursued her if they hadn't already handled the bigger problems of dealing with Drahool and the Durhiel army. She had handed Exsten what remained of the Durhiel royalty on a silver platter out of fear, and so they had won completely. But if she had the chance, she was going to get some vengeance for her father before the dust settled. She grit her teeth and tested her bonds as she stared at the castle in the distance.

"...I don't know how or when, but one day Exsten - all of Exsten - is going to pay for their crimes. I only pray that I will be somehow responsible or involved in that retribution."

Diana was barely able to shift her wrists, wrapped in the tough hemp rope.

"Keep quiet." Isard said, moving ahead. From the back of the line, Wedge could be heard weeping, despite his efforts to remain quiet.

Diana released a deep breath through her nose and examined her bonds in greater detail. (Is she bound alone or to other people, is it just the wrists, what?)

Ursa, who had followed the procession during the past week, observed the group from as close as he dared to get. While the politics of the war were quite beyond him, he could tell even from this distance that he captured travelers were upset about something. The big stone building, perhaps?

Enoch stayed in his quiet contemplation he was absorbed in during the travels, his eyes glazed over and his shoulders drooped. He didn't even notice that there was a castle ahead.

Jago was merely a peasant, and as such didn't have the largest schooling in politics. However, from what he knew about the war...

Having met and joined up with Ursa not long after the group was captured, Brann was more than ready to have something happen. Always following, never doing anything had gotten boring. "So, are we actually going to do something about this, or are you just going to..." He trailed off as he saw the change in the banners on the castle walls. "That's not a good sign."

Oscar, being led as one of the last in the 'caravan', looked at the black banners.

"Ehh, I can't say I'm surprised..." Oscar thought for a moment; if Durhill alleys were any indication, then army didn't had much chance against this invasion from the very start.

Ursa, being a man of few words, merely grunted in reply. He still wasn't sure why this guy was following him around other than perhaps being motivated by a desire to aid the travelers.

In any case, the man's impatience was getting very annoying, but perhaps luckily for him Ursa wasn't one to kill for such petty reasons. The important thing right now was waiting for the right moment...which might mean sneaking into the stone building everyone seemed to be heading to.

Frowning, the man stared at the prisoners as he contemplated again why he'd chosen to follow this man. Something about seeing those prisoners being taken away hadn't sat right with him... He couldn't just let them be captured like that. With a slight shake of his head, Brann shrugged. "Not exactly. I can't say I've ever had the pleasure of being in that castle but... We could try to sneak in as servants or something like that. Beyond that, I don't have many ideas, sorry."

Ursa rolled his eyes at the thought of anyone mistaking him for a servant. His impression was that they tended to be shorter, more timid, and less muscle-bound.

: "Must be way in. Way people not normally go. This best time to find that way."

With that, he began to make his way towards the nearest castle wall, keeping to the trees as much as possible.

Quietly muttering under his breath, Brann followed the man. "Geeze, it was just an idea. No need to just completely ignore it. Whatever."
