"It's a cellar. My father ordered it constructed before the war began. I've been down there before, and while there's nothing special about the room, I'm fairly certain that Kunsel is down there. Who plans to come with me?"

"After coming this far I think it's obvious that we'll all see this through to the end; so let's get down there and finish this."

Diana glared at Enoch. She felt utterly cheated. Ansel was supposed to be hers to kill, for everything he had done to her, her family, her country, everyone. Instead of lashing out as she wanted to do, she merely clenched her fists, grit her teeth, closed her eyes, and waited out the rush of fury, internalizing it. After almost a minute of silence, she opened her eyes.

"Follow me."

She started down the stairs.

Ursa followed along. Hopefully this new enemy wouldn't use a sword. Ursa hated not fighting the Ex-ten king, but he would have hated getting gutted by such a skilled swordsman even more.

"Psychopath king vanquished by omnicidal maniac. What a twissst." Oscar was amused.

"Aren't you the new king of Exsten, effective of right now, sire?" He turned to look at Armad. "How about cease-fire with Queen Diana, hmm?"

With Diana at the lead, the group descended down the stairs. Dull light from torches on the wall appeared every forty feet or so, and as the group neared the bottom, brighter light came from further within. Diana was the first to get a clear look at the room- A bare, earthen floored room with walls of rough stone, illuminated by the four divine weapons set on pedestals at the corners of the room, each with a stream of light flowing into the hands of the man in the center of the room.

"You again? Hm. I was hoping you'd have managed to die in a ditch somewhere by now." Kunsel's hands bore a large, red gemstone, the light from the weapons seeming to dance inside it. "At least Ansel managed to buy me the time I needed. So, did you kill him? Or did you manage to leave him alive?"

"He's dead. As you will be!"

Diana wasn't about to waste any more time. She dashed straight at Kunsel, in attempt to bull him down and knock the gemstone from his hands. Whatever he was planning, he had to be stopped!

Ursa roared and rushed forward with Diana, Killer Axe held high for a crushing blow.

"No." Diana and Ursa both found themselves bouncing off of a nearly invisible wall. "That's just the way humans are, I suppose. Leaping to violence at the first sign of conflict of interest. As well as trying to take what isn't yours..." Kunsel held the gem high as the light from the divine weapons began to ebb. "Just the way this miserable world was taken from my father."

Armad rushed forward, slamming his family's blade into the wall Diana and Ursa had ran into. It shimmered, but did not give an inch.

"Ursa! Grab Gram!"

It was all she could think of at the moment. Maybe getting one of the weapons would disrupt the ritual. As for Kunsel's implication that he was half-dragon... She would worry about that once whatever THIS was had been stopped.

Brann had been moving towards the Divine Bow when he heard Kunsel's comment. He continued moving, but frowned and said,

"The way you say that makes it seem like you're not counting yourself as one of those humans."

Nearing the bow as Diana called out to Ursa, he reached out, trying to grab the bow, hoping he'd be able to use it.
