Brann shrugged.

"I mean... Better to do it now and know. This is the last peaceful time we'll have for a while. Better to know where things stand and be settled. Or at least that's how I feel."

Wilfort shrugged. "Well, let's hope it goes well. Diana will need a King or consort or something if we manage to get through this mess alive."

[Swordstar]

"Pretty sure it will, if a conversation I had with her back in Worus is any indication..."

[SeriousConcentrate]

Diana looked around, then gestured off to the nearby trees (which were at 28,10 on the map).

"Sure, we can talk there. There shouldn't be anyone around."

She was curious about why Ursa wanted to be away from the others, but she elected not to comment on it. He might change his mind about what he wanted to talk about if she prodded at it - best to go along and see what it was.

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Just because she's attracted to him doesn't mean it's going to be that straightforward. You have to keep in mind the position she's in and how she expects it'll affect the people around her."

[Swordstar]

"I get what you're saying but... Still bet it'll go well. I mean... He might not be the 'ideal' match for a queen, but he's strong and a good man. I bet you she doesn't turn him away."

[Blade Master Model 42]

"No bet. I'm not expecting anything to go wrong, just, you know. Expect all possibilities and everything."

[Swordstar]

"Oh, I didn't mean like an actual bet or anything. But still. It'll be nice that there's some more romance in our group. Help keep us uplifted among all this war."

[Sirus]

Ursa walked over to the stand of trees along with Diana. When he got there however, his poor mind went blank.

: "So!"

: "...um."

: "Argh! Princess, Ursa not good with words. What is Princess thinking right now?"

"If you say so. I don't see the appeal, personally." Wilfort looked up to the sky and tapped his chin thoughtfully. "Maybe when I'm older."

[SeriousConcentrate]

Diana smiled softly. Her suspicions WERE right! She had seen this flustered act before between the servants, unaware she was watching from her tower window. She wasn't going to be cruel to the poor man, though. Instead she took his hands in her own and continued to look up at him.

"Right now, Princess is thinking that facility with words is unimportant. And Princess wants to know what Ursa is thinking, too."

She giggled quietly, swinging their hands slowly between them.

Enoch looked up from his perch in the trees to see Diana and Ursa approach the patch a stone's throw away. He looked back down at the red, murky lake, two corpses now inhabiting the water and a third somewhere in the trees beyond the lake. The strange mage looked back at the two.

The man resumed his lazy perch, staring out over the water.

[Sirus]

These sorts of feelings were completely unknown to the wild man. He felt vulnerable as the smaller woman took his hands and yet completely safe at the same time. Other than the nagging feeling that eyes were watching, anyway...

: "Well...Ursa is happy to have met Princess. And Ursa like Princess very much. Ursa...Ursa is not sure what comes next, but Ursa want to be at Diana's side when it happens."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Princess feels much the same... and she's happy you said her name."

Her smile became a little more coy.

"You know, a knight generally swears his fealty to his queen by getting down on a knee and kissing her hand..."

[Sirus]

Ursa chuckled.

: "Pretty sure Diana isn't Queen just yet...but okay."
And although it was a bit sloppy (it was his first kiss after all), he kissed his future queen's hand.
