Enoch idly brushed the dust off of his robes from the fallen rider, ignoring the now cooling carcass of the rider. Turning to what he assumed to be the leader was (he thinks he should probably pay a touch more attention to who exactly he's killing), the strange mage made his way to the man.

Move to (24,7), ZOT the boss with Flash!

The man in the sable armor charged Enoch with his sword drawn as brilliant energy pooled in the mage's hands. The first bolt struck him square in the chest, and though Arnold was nearly thrown from the saddle, he pushed onward, and swung his massive blade at the mage. Enoch leaned back, allowing the slash to pass harmlessly through the air less than an inch in front of nose, and then fired another lance of energy into his adversary's back. The horse bolted as its rider collapsed and fell into the dirt.

"Good work Enoch. Someone should check on these other houses but if you'll excuse me..."

He hurried over to where Ceil was standing.

"Ceil! You're ok, right? You weren't hurt or anything? I... I was going south with Wilfort and Oscar to try and warn the houses so I wasn't here..."

Ceil took a moment to straighten out her robes.
: "Quite alright. I don't think they even noticed I was here the entire time."

"That's good to hear. I don't know what I would have done... I... I just worry about you in battles. And out of battles. I just... I want you to be happy. And safe."

Ceil shook her head respectfully.
: "Please don't worry over me so much. I simply wouldn't stand it if you got hurt over it."

"No it's... I... Look, just come here. Please."

Taking her hand, he led her a little away from the group. Letting go of her hand when he stopped, he paced for a few seconds before turning back to her.

"I... I'm not going to stop worrying about you. Ever since we met... Since we began traveling together... I keep finding myself thinking about you. Wondering how you're doing. How you're feeling. How... How you feel about me. Because... You're so important to me. I really... I really think I've fallen in love with you. And I know that you have your whole religious order and that you might not be able to return my feelings or just might not view me in that way but... I can't deny how I feel and that means I'm never going to stop trying to protect you."

Enoch nodded at Brann with a grin, looking thoroughly satisfied. Looking around the field though, he notes that many of the enemies, to his surprise, have yet to flee the field. His grin widens as he moves towards them.

"Oh what a treat, such a thing so sweet, there's still some meat." His voice was almost sing-song.

One of the bandits looks at Enoch, turning pale. "Aw dammit, fight's over boys! Let's get the hell outta here!" The bandits ran, all moving toward the small lake in the southeast.

"Hahaha! The hunt is on, a wonderful delay to the confront." Enoch actually seemed happy that they started leaving, picking up the pace to keep chase towards the lake. Silly bandits, don't they know that the land itself is against them?

Ah, its been far too long.

Wilfort turned to Diana, then glanced at Enoch. "Uh... Should we help him?"

If ever there was a time Ceil was completely dumbstruck, it was now.
: "..."
It took a good minute for her to even move a muscle, and when she did, it was to place her hand on Brann's forehead.
: "A-are you alright, Brann? Did you get a fever?"
...
It took another minute for the gears in her head to click, and her hand recoiled.
: "Oh! Ah... I'm sorry, this is just-... very sudden. I never really... gave your feelings any thought."

"... Of course she didn't. I'm such a fool."

"You're right. I'm sorry, I should have never said anything."

He took a few steps back from her and gave a stiff bow.

"I'm sorry to have caused you any discomfort or to have put you in this awkward position. I will leave you alone now."

He turned his back just as the first few tears of sadness and embarrassment spilled out of his eyes. Dashing them away quickly with his hand, he walked away from Ceil, refusing to look back, not wanting her to see how much that last sentence had hurt.

Ceil, who was slumping a little and turning away in embarrassment, immediately straightened up and walked after Brann with her voice wavering slightly.
: "Brann, wait!"
A small bead formed in the corner of her eye, but she took a couple deep breaths to steady herself. With her limp, she couldn't keep pace with Brann at this rate...
