Enoch looked down from his perch atop the strange yurt, looking half done with the fetish. He nodded.

"I've healed well, the wounds have sealed. I've started growing used to the fester, although I've few tears when its parted and it ceases to pester." The mage didn't particularly sound happy about growing used to such, but it was a resigned expression regardless. His thoughts drifted for a moment of silence, looking at the totem and his bronze knife, before turning his attention back to the swordsman.

"Were you unharmed in the fight? I admit much was out of my sight, I lost myself at its height." The mage queried the samurai.

"Ah... I dunno if I'd say unharmed but... I did what needed to be done. Despite fighting my countrymen... I did what needed to be done. And I will continue to do what needs to be done, despite us possibly fighting against them more in the near future. At least my skills in bows are mostly returning. It was... helpful against those pegasus riders."

He paused and then continued.

"What are your thoughts on us attacking Yondel's forces before returning to Ansel? It will take away time, but... I don't know. I don't like the idea of spilling more Worus blood, but... It feels like the right move for us. I'm not sure."

Enoch nodded to what the swordsman was saying, before pausing to think on his question. "I... Do not know these things that you call nations, I've little understanding of it or relations." The mage explained slowly, as if thinking of each word he says before they are passed along.

"One group is unto another, as with our troop, with the leader by far the star of its sky. This 'Yondel,' he is a threat? Then we should not fret or sweat, and instead the ground we should wet with him. I've learned that small does not equate them to a thrall, for even they know to brawl. Avoidable death is life's next breath." The strange mage answered.

After a moment, something dawned on the mage. Catching the swordsman's attention, he pointed down at the base of the tree he was resting in, at the metal longbow resting gingerly against the linen walls of the tree-held yurt. "Yours." There was a pause as the mage searched for a word, before relenting and sighing out "...doors..." half-heartedly in a soft mumble.

Give Force upon Brann the Silver Cursed Metal bow!

"I... right. I never did ask you where you were from, huh... But... yes, he's a threat. Both to Worus and to us. If we don't take care of him now, he could theoretically attack us from behind. Plus it destabilizes Ansel's base of power. I think you're right though. We'll see what Diana ends up deciding though.

He blinked in surprise at the gift of the bow. He picked it up and gave it a quick once over before unstringing it and securing it and the quiver to his back.

"I... Thank you. This is a powerful bow. It will hopefully serve me well in future battles. I appreciate this gift and will remember my debt to you."

Enoch merely watched Brann carefully when it was commented about the mage's home, before returning to the usual look of mild activity and attention that is his norm, albeit slightly more whenever Diana, Brann, or Lucas speaks. He nodded shortly after, in response to this decision being Diana's choice.

At the samurai's gratitude, the strange mage couldn't help but look at him oddly. After a moment of strange thought from the mage as he contemplated something that appeared tempting, he waved his hand dismissively.

"No need, there is little to follow the creed. If you feel you must, then heed, but otherwise cede." The response, despite the gesture, was a serious one though.

Seeing the look he was given at the comment of the mage's homeland, Brann paused, staring at the strange man.

"I will not go out of my way to repay the debt, but if I see a way to repay, I will. Perhaps that will suffice."

He hesitated, and then pushed forward.

"I... That look you gave me... Your homeland is a sensitive subject it seems. If you wish me to not ask any further, I will stay silent but... I consider you a friend and would like to know more about you if you were willing to share."

Diana came back with an armload of heavy oak wood, which she dumped in the middle of the clearing as she took in the scene. Enoch and Brann were talking as the mage sat on some weird structure she was sure hadn't been there before she left... Anita had apparently stolen Jago's shirt and burnt him, or something, and Ciel was on her way over to attend to him... Lucas was nowhere in sight...

"...Did I miss something important?"

"Me, maybe?" Said Oscar, always the charmer, stopping his horse by the Princess. He opened his bag and pulled out two brown rabbits, and a duck.

"This place is rather devoid of small game. How many did Jago get?" He placed them on a big rock and then walked right back to his horse. He looked for something in the bag, but then spoke quietly.

"We still have to talk, Princess, about that one... detail."

Diana nodded, looking at the small amount of food Oscar had gotten. It didn't look like Jago had gotten anything. They would have to supplement the fresh food with the rations tonight.

"Nothing that I can see."

She gestured for him to dismount and follow her, before walking over to a nearby tree and sitting at the base of it. She wrapped her arms around her knees and set her chin on them.

"Have a seat."

Oscar followed silently and equally silently sat on the tree when Princess ordered him to.

Diana sat silent for a few moments.

"I don't know what to tell you, Oscar. You've been a loyal ally, and I appreciate your support, but... I don't return your feelings. I'm sorry."

"..."

"Phew, I was worried for a moment there. Princess, my loyalty does not equal my love. I still love you, and I won't abandon you just because you don't feel the same." He thought for a while.

"But you are going to wait with marrying that big violent... Ursa after we get rid of Ansel, right?"

Diana scratched the back of her head.

"...I guess everyone sees it but the man in question, huh? I honestly don't know. I hate thinking about it like this... all cold and calculating... but a royal wedding would be a good event to hold after our victory. A way of reassuring the people of Durhiel that peace is here to stay and the royal line will continue. But on the other hand, I still don't know if we can beat Ansel..."

"I will gladly be the witness to that! Beating Ansel, I mean." He let out a sigh.

"As for the wedding, I think I will take a horse trip in the meanwhile. Are you going to be 'Queen of Durhiel' or 'Empress of the Continent' once you get rid of Ansel, though?"

"Queen of Durhiel, I think. Even if that also encompasses Exsten. The entire continent... that's too much trouble for one person, and I don't have experience leading a country, let alone several. Besides, I think Wilfort and I get along well enough that Ulfijan and Durhiel will continue to be good neighbors during our reigns, and frankly it seems we have little to fear from Worus. Even less if we manage to assassinate Yondell."

Diana sighed.

"I don't know what to do about Osngaria, either. I wonder how much of the country is even left. Maybe when we're back on our thrones we could send them aid."
