:"Like... last battle, I put magic into my crossbow, kinda, and I shot a guy with a zappy bolt thing. Um. Like this!"

Jago took out his crossbow, and, aiming at a nearby sapling, put one hand on the crossbow. Said hand closed around the handle of his crossbow, though it wasn't curled around the trigger itself, but rather the metal that made up much of the body of the crossbow. The other hand went to the Elthunder under his side armor (which he hadn't yet bothered to take off) and began channeling it to the crossbow.

Jago, being of peasant birth, hadn't the slightest idea how electricity worked... or how it conducted. As he channeled Elthunder into the entirety of the crossbow, including the iron he was holding, he received a sudden and harsh lesson on the matter.

:"HaaAAAaaAAAggghhhh FUUUCK! Fuck fuck fuck shit fuck fuck fuck" Jago took a breath and swayed lightly. "Sonuva BITCH holy SHIT godDAMN I did not see that coming. OW! FUCK!"

...

:"That, uh, that didn't happen last time..."

Hearing the screams, Enoch looked up from his carving to see the archer fidget in pain, screaming. He watched for a moment, but seeing nothing immediately wounded about the archer, went back to carving with a sniff. Ceil wasn't too far off.

Wilfort looked up from the plans he was doodling in the dirt with the stick when Jago screamed. He didn't seem to be badly injured though, even if he wasn't steady on his feet... The young prince called out. "You aren't going to die or anything, are you?"

Anita watched intently as Jago prepared to show her what he'd done earlier. She wondered just what exactly he'd done that was so risky. She was so absorbed in her thoughts that she didn't realize the mistakes Jago was making until it was too late.

"J-Jago! Wait, sto-!" was as far as she'd gotten before he electrocuted himself. Well, that was one way that it could backfire and he'd just learned that the hard way. But that didn't really process in Anita's mind, having electric current run through you was never, ever good.

"Jago, are you okay!? There was immense concern in her voice. "Uhm, what was it you were supposed treat that with..." Uh, first you have to look at it don't you?

"Jago! Take off your shirt!"

:"I-- I think I'm not going to die, I mean, I've had worse... wow OK my hand is charred, fuuuuck...
Then Anita shouted at him.
swaaayyy
:"T-take off my shirt?? What are you-- oh, you mean, like... for wound treatment. ...ughhhhshit, this is probably gonna hurt.
Jago unclipped his armor, before reaching reluctantly for the hem of his shirt...

"Aww geeeeze, you're so slow. Here," she grabbed the hem of his shirt and began to pull it up and off Jago. She wasn't rough or hurried though, in fact she tried to be as gentle as possible and wasn't going nearly as fast as her comment would imply. She didn't want to hurt him more than he already was after all.

:"Uh hey-hey-hey-hey-owowow, maybe, uh, slow down there a little? Like-- call Ceil? (ow) You don't exaaactly need to take my shirt off for me.
The frail beginnings of a smug smirk began to show on his face, and he made a somewhat ill-advised joke:
:"Can't blame ya if you wanna, buuut... nevermind I'm not thinking clearly."

"Well your shirt needs to come off anyway and the sooner it's off the sooner trying to take it off stops hurting right?" But he did make a good point, Ceil would be needed. "Wilfort, please go get Ciel," she asked as calmly as she could.

Jago's joke worked. Well, if he intended to stop Anita in her tracks with it that is. She hadn't even considered that and her face flushed as she started to think about it.

"Y-You're dumb..."

Ceil frowned, but her eyes passed over the light tome again. Gently taking it off of Brann's hands, she quietly, but forcefully toned.
: "Defense only." She awkwardly tried to place the tome in the pouch under her robe, "I never really did learn how to cast, though."
Her lips held as if to continue that thought, but her head immediately jerked up as she heard Jago's bloodcurdling screams from afar.

"Alright, alright, I'll go get her." Wilfort walked off, clearly not in much of a hurry.

Anita now frozen, Jago took the opportunity to finish taking off his own shirt, chuckling madly. Jago was really thin and had a minimum of muscle, by the looks of it. ...and also he'd charred himself pretty badly.
:"Oh, that is not good..."

Anita had a sneaking suspicion that Jago was laughing at her, in which case he really was dumb. And a jerk. But once again her concern outweighed that part of her mind. She only paid attention his charred skin she apparently wasn't missing much anyway and felt at least partially responsible for not stopping him.

"Yeah, electricity is dangerous, especially when you're wearing or holding metal. I take it you didn't know that metal conducts electricity.

Sorry for assuming you did and not paying closer attention to doing.

"Sooooo..." she was running out of things to say. "Do you want to know anything else about thunder, or anima, magic? Or are you good for now?"

Anita hoped Ceil would get here soon, provided Wilfort had even notified her yet, for both her and Jago's sake. But mostly Jago's.

"That's the only reason I'm giving it to you. I... You should go take care of that, probably. Don't worry about me and such."

Giving her a slight smile, he turned and walked away, ending up leaning casually against a tree, sword loosened in his belt to be easily drawn. Glancing up, he noticed Enoch sitting in a nearby tree. Shaking his head, he called out,

"Interesting resting place you found there. Have you recovered fully from the battle? I know you were in range of some iron weapons..."
