The councilman sighed. "I believe I shall speak my piece nevertheless. Diana, you are now on the soil of the Yondell region of Worus, as I am sure you are aware. And Councilman Yondell has asked for my help in capturing and subduing you. You are dangerous to our nation, princess, even if, as I believe, you mean us no harm yourself."

The councilman's steed cantered closer to the group, allowing Pataphrax to tower over Diana up close. "But you seek battle with Ansel, princess. And to go through our country to do so will leave us to be slaughtered like animals when Ansel has finished putting your forces to The Sword. Please, don't do this. Surrender yourself, and you will not only save your companions, here and now, but the last nation of free peoples in Ostcar. I implore you Diana, do the right thing, and surrender yourself."

"Worus is hardly free. We may be free in name, but it is in name alone. You all cower before Ansel, obeying his every whim. For all that matters, we are simply Ansel's servants. The other countries may be his slaves, but we are in no position to call ourselves free. Just because he hasn't conquered us doesn't change that fact."

"...Perhaps not. But all the same, I will not risk the lives of either my own people or any of the people of Worus. So long as we do not antagonize Ansel, we have hope for a semblance of peace. That is what I believe, and it is why my men and I are here today."

"Your fellow councilman has already tried to stop us and failed. We are stronger because of it. I do not want to fight my fellow countrymen, but I will if that's what is required. We must continue on. We cannot allow Ansel to continue on this path. If you value the lives of your men so much, let us through. It will save their lives and yours."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"As I thought. You're wasting your breath. You are not a free people. You and the rest of the councilmen who surrendered are a pack of cowards who are too stupid and blind to see they're already annexed by Exsten. You gave up your national treasure without a fight, and you let the last blood of Worus be assassinated. As long as Ansel lives, Worus exists only by his whim."

"Regardless, it is no worry of mine if you and yours are too cowardly to fight for this freedom you foolishly believe you have. If you continue to stand in my way, then you should worry about what I will do to your house and Yondell's once Ansel is in the ground. Either leave us now and live, or fight me. You'll either die in this battle or when I come back after I've dealt with Ansel. Your choice."

"To stand aside would only guarantee the deaths of the citizenry as well as my soldiers come the end. Ansel is not a man driven by reason- He is driven by a zealous fire in his heart and mind. He will spare no one his own personal judgement."

"I am sorry you could not see reason. My soldiers will give you the honor of a death on the battlefield, as your esteemed father took when he stood against Ansel." Pataphrax turned and rode away, bringing a horn to his lips, and blowing.

Diana leaned over and whispered to Brann.

"I had no intention of coming back here. I just wanted him to get out of the way. Looks like there's nothing for it but to fight now, though."

Brann shook his head.

Ruling through fear... Threatening like that... If you intend to rule your country some day, you will need to be able to make friends with the others around you. And men are not likely to forget threats like that."

He sighed and moved forward, ready to fight.

"It is time to focus in the fight now. And I am afraid to said this was going to happen even if we tried to convince him to change his mind. He has his reasons to do this, and we have or own reasons to not surrender like that. And this might be the first of many unwanted fights we might have to face."

There goes the peaceful option... I didn't think we were going to get off the hook so easily, but one can hope.

Anyways, if we need to fight, I'd rather have the first strike on our side. I can reach their front line, and I think Enoch can too, do you want us to attack?
