"You know Diana, you really ought to be more upbeat when you talk about our chances for beating Ansel." Wilfort said quietly. "Morale is important you know. If the others think that you believe we can't win, they'll think so too. At best, that means they won't fight as hard- at worst, they'll abandon you. Try to be confident, alright?" Wilfort tore his broken clasp from his cape and replaced it with one of the paired seals that his mother had given to him.

"You've been there. You've heard me tell them multiple times they don't have to follow me to this end. They know our chances as well as I do, and I'm not going to lie to anyone who still chooses to follow me. Speaking of following me, it seems Otiros is still dazed from the battle. Let's give him some more time to recover. Neeya, I'll escort you myself."

The princess cupped her hands around her mouth so the rest of the party could hear her shout.

"Neeya and I are heading into town to buy supplies! Anyone who wants to go, now is the time!"

Diana escorts Neeya to the apothecary to get those vulneraries, then to the armory to buy a Steel Axe for herself. Also get that pole axe off of Oscar.

"I'm not telling you to lie, I'm saying that you'd be better off taking an optimistic stance when you discuss our chances. Glass half full and all that?" Wilfort pointed at the Longsword hanging from Diana's belt. "By the way, I've never seen you use that. Would you mind if I took it? I find myself at a disadvantage whenever we fight axe-users."

Diana looked at the longsword.

"If you're sure you can use it, you're welcome to it. This sort of sword is best used against cavalry units, so I was holding on to it in case we ran into any. Just keep that in mind."

She unbuckled it from her belt and handed it over to Wilfort, then strapped the pole axe to the back of her armor and hung the steel axe from the right side of her belt.

"And I'll take that into consideration."

Having purchased the axe without difficulty, Diana and those companions that followed her took Neeya to the apothecary.

"Sorry, this may take some time." With a quick bow, Neeya ducked into the building. Sometime later, Neeya emerged carrying 14 vulneraries. "I think it went rather well. We should discuss distribution later."

Felicia remembered that one of the items she took was some kind of glowing bolt. Figuring that one of their archers might be able to use it, she went up to the nearest one she could find, who happenned to be Otiros.
"You look like you could use this thing. Don't ask me what it is, but I figure you're as good as anyone else here."
As she gave him the item, she took notice of some sort of black book he was carrying.
"Mind me borrowing that book? I doubt you can use it, but I think I know someone who can."
Once she got the book, she walked up to Lucas and tapped him on the shoulder.
"Hey Luke, you think you could use this book? It looks like a magic tome to me."
As was already preemptively done, give Otiros Orion's Bolt, take Luna, give Luna to Lucas.

"Indeed. At the very least, we should prioritize everyone over myself and Ursa. Both of us are... rather wasteful when it comes to using healing powder."

Lucas turned around at the tap of a shoulder.

Oh, hello. Oh yeah, that's a dark tome, I appreciate it but you shouldn't-

Lucas stopped and looked at the tome, not believing what he was seeing.

This... This is... That tome... It's Luna, the magic that can't be stopped! I've always wanted to get my hands on one of these. It's said to pierce magic defenses like they were nothing. In the right hands it's an incredibly powerful magic.

I don't know what to say, really. I never had anyone give me a present this good. How can I thank you?

: "Hm?" Ceil looked away from her duties for a moment to glance towards Brann, taken aback for a second, "Oh? Ah, certainly. I'm afraid there isn't too terribly much to say, though. But, I'd certainly enjoy the company, perhaps I can take the time to brew some tea as well."

With a nod and a smile, Brann headed back to their rooms. Pulling out his new coat, he blinked in surprise as something fell out onto the floor. Reaching down, he found the small crest that someone had handed him at some point. Staring at it, he sat down on the bed and sighed.

I've failed so much... I can't keep doing this. I need to be stronger to protect my country... To protect this group. I just... Nothing I do seems right.

He was tightening his grip on the crest as he thought, without even realizing it.

The world is falling apart, and I can't even make it through a fight without almost being crippled. Something needs to change. I NEED TO BE STRONGER!"

The last was yelled out loud, almost without him realizing it. Suddenly, the crest in his hand flashed with a bright golden light. He was filled with a rush of strength and slowly stood up. Pulling on his new coat and armor, he nodded.

"Yes. That is what I needed. I... I can do this now."

Brann uses the Hero's Crest and promotes to Samurai!

After the first few moments of newfound power, a rather awkward thought popped into Jago's head: Well, now what? After a moment of thinking, Jago wandered into the magic store, frankly looking incredibly lost.
:"Uh, hmm..."
He wandered around the tomes, eventually finding himself drawn to one of the books, an Elthunder.
:"Huh... Yeah... Um, yeah, I'd like to buy this tome?"
He hesitantly held out the needed gold.
Buy the Elthunder.

Oscar takes poleaxe off himself and passes it away.

Then he takes a stroll through the chambers and corridors, reconsidering everything that have happened so far.

The lady behind the counter handed Jago the gold-embossed tome with an incredulous look on her face. "Are you sure you're getting your mage the right book there, sir?"

Jago gets Elthunder!

Walking back into the Kuimer's chamber room, Brann kneeled before the man.

"Sir. My name is Brann Iroso. As you might guess by my last name, my family was pledged to protect the blood of Worus. We have clearly failed in that, thanks to Ansel's treachery. And as such, after we have finished this war, I will have nothing to return to. I do not wish to serve the Princess forever. My heart belongs to this country and always will. So instead... I would ask that, if I survive this chaos that has gripped the world, I would be allowed to return and serve you and your family. You who remained true to Worus and did not bow in fear of the conqueror. I would be honored to help protect you in the trials that are sure to follow such a devastating war."
