Diana nodded.

"That would be useful, yes."

"Don't sweat about it. Everyone makes mistakes sometime, and learns from that. We're lucky to have made it, at the very least. By the way, I haven't seen many people who use magic of the same type as you, at least not from Worus. I reckon you'd be from Osngaria or somesuch, right?'"

Osngarian, at least formerly... I was exiled right before the war. Not like I could do much to stop anything. I'm actually sort of glad, if I weren't kicked out I would have get massacred with the rest and wouldn't have met you.

And you... are you really from Exsten?

"I am most certainly not from Exsten! What gave you that idea?'"

Well, the first time we met you were working with Exsten, but then all this happened and... You got me curious. That's all.

"Oh, and so long as we're here, I have a bit of pull with the local apothecaries. I might be able to get you some medicine at a discount. Although, it would need to be a large order..."

"Well, might as well get it out of the way. I'm from Worus. Was a scout for a mercenary company in the early days of the war, but the rest of the company was slaughtered while I was out scouting for enemies one day. I infiltrated their army, hoping to find a opportunity to kill one of their generals or something. Decided to betray them early when I saw your group. That's about it."

I'm sorry about that. You didn't have much of a choice back then, if you didn't betray them we would have killed you. And even when you did it almost went like that... At least we'll have a chance at the king if all goes relatively well.

"I see. Well, the way things have been going, honestly we would have to be pretty stupid to turn this offer down. How much would we need to pay?"

"Fifteen hundred gold pieces. I should be able to get a dozen vulneraries or so for that much."

"Well, I can see this arrangement is working out already. I have much to do today, so I'd like to get on with my work. Please be ready to leave in the morning." Kuimer looked pointedly at the door.

Diana glanced at Kuimer, then back to Neeya.

"Understood. Here is the gold. Follow me."

The princess led Neeya - and presumably Wilfort - over to where Otiros was standing.

"Otiros, would you take Neeya into town and keep her safe while she buys medicine for the group?"

"Yes, now we can only hope it all goes well, and give it our best. Even if we die dying so."

: "I believe so." Ceil punctuated with a slight flash of her staff as she spoke back to Brann, "Just as well, I have not had this kind of focus before. The staff Lucas had gotten was quite difficult to even heal in close proximity, let alone the distances they are told to attain. Yet with this ring, using seems... Natural, somehow. I will have to remember to thank Sir Lucas later for it."

Brann nodded.

"I'm glad I could help. I... I need to go do some other things, but I was hoping that tonight we could maybe talk some? I would like to hear more about your religious sect and about... well, you."
