~Ally Phase 8~

"This is taking too long- I should just head in myself, and hang the dangers." Yondell continues to mutter to himself, unable to see how the battle is progressing when a messenger rides up.

"Councilman Yondell! I have orders from the other council members! You are to stop your military actions in Kuimer's territory at once, sir." The messenger weakly holds out a scroll that the Councilman quickly snatches from his grasp.

Yondell turns red with rage as he reads the missive, hands shaking. "Those fools! I was so close- I could taste it! Damn your hide!" Yondell throws the scroll into the messenger's face and turns toward the battle. "All forces retreat immediately! Cease all offensive action! We are leaving the territory, on the double!" No longer being paid for violence, the mercenaries quickly disperse.

Inside the heart of the building, Jago sees the swordsman who'd just cut down Otiros, and had been within spitting distance of Kuimer, turn and run away.

"...Ahahahahaha haaaa ha HA!" Kuimer lets out a belly laugh from his seat. "I knew those old bastards wouldn't have the guts! The council called him off! You, boy, fetch your healer and tell my servants they can come out from hiding- It's over, at least for now."

Jago, alone unharmed of the entire group, sighed and nodded as he began to jog out the door to get Ceil for Otiros ...and then he saw the party, all of them, on the ground.
:"Oh DAMN!"
Jago immediately got moving, running with no less than a full sprint at Ceil, ripping a vulnerary open and pouring it on her in a poof of dust. He then reached down and yanked Ceil back up, steadying her a little before scanning the area, seeing Diana and Ursa down and worse off than the others.

Another sprint (and a little vulnerary looting) brought him to Diana and he next applied a vulnerary to her, yanking her up as well. (He was being a little rough, but he had very, very little time.) Next up... Ursa. Vulnerarying the big man, he proceeded to...struggle to... lift him off of the ground.

:"GrnnNNnnnNNNNGH!"

Diana didn't complain; instead she moved to help Jago get Ursa onto his feet.

"It's good to see you're up and on your feet, Jago. How is everyone else?"

She hadn't been able to see much from her position on the ground.

After Lucas got eventually propped up, he checked out the immediate surroundings to make sure that no enemies remained.

We made it? We actually protected someone! Hahahahahoh it hurts to laugh...

Ursa righted, Jago didn't spare himself time for breath as he got back to his process of sprinting, looting, and vulning, this time running towards one of the more fragile-looking of them: Lucas. Before he healed her, though, he shouted a reply at Diana directly before he applied a vulnerably.
:"FUCKED! We're in TROUBLE here!"
Then he yanked Anita back up.

Diana scratched the back of her head. She wasn't really good with healing powder, and it looked as if Jago had gotten Ciel on her feet in addition to running around being a medic himself, so she decided to stick by Ursa.

"Hmm. Ursa, are you going to be all right?"

: "Urh- ah..." Ceil staggered, using her staff to try and prop herself up, determined to try and get to everyone. She just about tripped and fell to her knees as she saw Brann at the other end of the hall, down on the ground.

She sat with her mouth agape in shock, for but a few moment. She quickly reached into a side pocket and pulled out the ring that he gave her earlier...

Collapsed on the ground, Brann attempted to push himself up before falling back down again, biting his tongue to prevent a scream of pain escape. Glancing down at his sword arm, he winced. There was a cut right along the wrist that went all the way to bone. That, combined with various other injuries meant that he was bleeding rapidly. He blinked, his vision starting to go black.

"Fa... failed. Couldn't... keep up, couldn't... fight. Can't... need to be... stronger. Protect... Worus. Protect...

As soon as Ceil slipped the ring on her finger, it filled her with a sense of power, as well as peace.

Ceil changes class to Bishop!

: "Yes... This will be enough..."
Without even breaking her visage as she felt the surge wash into her, Ceil immediately stood and pulled out her Physic staff. With the enhanced clarity afforded by the ring, she focused to keep the staff stable as she shot healing energy across the hallway and directly at Brann.

Brann's eyes shot back open as he was hit with healing energy. Slowly, he sat up, gingerly placing weight on his previously injured wrist. It was a bit sore, but nothing major. Looking around, he didn't see Ceil until he looked all the way down the hallway. Blinking, he slowly pushed himself up, and made his way over to her.

"I... How... Thank you. Is... Is there anything I can help with?"

: "Hah..." Ceil let out a deep breath, with a smile towards Brann, "Please... Check with the councilor. I'll handle the rest here." She surmised quickly, before quickly moving to begin her rounds.

"Of course. ... Oh! Uhm, the prince... he's injured as well. He could use help."

With that, he turned around, and headed into the room where the councilor had been staying. Approaching the man, he bowed slightly and then straightened.

"Sir. Are you ok? We're currently working on healing the members of our force, but it appears we all made it through alive. There don't appear to be any enemy forces left here either."

"There was a magical strike directed at me earlier, but the bastard's aim was off. A fine showing, all told. Let the prince and princess know I should like to see them as soon as you've all collected yourselves."
