Was this...a present? From Diana? Ursa smiled, suddenly feeling a bit awkward as he accepted the gift. He wished he had some gold of his own so he could get her something in return.

: "Thank you, Princess. Ursa take good care of it!"

Ursa evolves into: Berserker!

Diana smiled and laced her hands in front of her shyly.

"Well... you're quite welcome, Ursa! I wanted to thank you... you know... for rescuing me, for staying with me even through all of this, for teaching me..."

...I've really come to rely on him a lot since I've met him, haven't I...?

"...for everything, really!"

And I hope he thinks of me whenever he looks at that emblem.

She continued to look up at Ursa.

Brann left the armory and went exploring for other shops. Finding a trinket type shop, he walked in. Spying a well crafted lance with two small ornamental wings framing the base of the metal blade, he picked it up. Surprised at how light it was, he paused before walking up to the counter.

"I suppose the prince would like this... Perhaps he would be able to fight more like he seems to want to...

"I'll take this spear if you please."

Brann buys Wing Spear

After buying that, Brann went to look for a new coat, as his current one was in tatters.

Lucas turned around at hearing a familiar voice, but the person in question left too fast.

This Poison staff is very interesting. Maybe I should have paid more attention to other staves instead of just the regular healing ones. Reminds me of something I have to talk later... But for now I'll be getting this.

Lucas buys Guiding Ring and Physic.

Walking out of the last shop he intended to visit, with various parcels under his arm, Brann rubbed the back of his head. He had some things he needed to think about, so he wandered back towards the ship. Arriving there, he spotted Ceil and paused. He sighed, not knowing how to handle this situation. As he'd spent time with her, he'd come to truly enjoy her company and over the last day or so had realized that those feelings were starting to develop more from friendship into something deeper. But as far as he could tell, there were two real issues with that. The first and most obvious one being that she was part of a religious order and he didn't know if her sect approved of that sort of thing or not. And the second... well, she seemed to think he was a friend and nothing more. Even when he'd given her that ring, she hadn't even thought about the fact that it could have been something... more.

Walking up to Ceil, Brann paused and then held out the smaller of his two packages.

"I... Ceil, I found this in a store... It's... It's a religious necklace... Has the four Divine Weapons on it and... Apparently that it could be used to store magic, allowing you to access it later for emergency healings, that sort of thing. I just... I saw it and thought of you and wanted to buy it for you because... Because I thought you'd like it."

No point in bringing up my feelings for her now... I'll mention it later. Maybe.

Ursa, overwhelmed with happiness and seized by an impulse he couldn't explain, laughed and lifted Diana off the ground in a good old-fashioned bear hug.

: "Ha! Ursa would do it all again, no question! Things might not look so good now, but no worry - Ursa be there to help Diana no matter what."

"Eep!"

Diana wasn't prepared for the sudden - and slightly crushing - hug! People rarely took the liberty of actually touching her in any way; she WAS royalty, after all, and that meant most kept a respectful distance. All the same... she kind of liked it... excusing the fact she could barely breathe, of course.

"That's sweet, Ursa, but would you mind easing up a little?"

She squirmed a bit, trying to loosen his grip enough to get a comfortable breath, though she wasn't actually trying to get away.

"I mean... I appreciate the gesture, but even though I'm tougher than your average princess, you're still... quite strong."

With a curious look, Ceil carefully took the package from Brann, opening it up slightly to see the contents.
: "Hm? Oh, you needn't... Ah!" Ceil gasped as she pulled the package loose, her free hand immediately shot to her side, patting a baggier portion of her robe.

With a moment's pause, she sighed in relief.
: "You have quite an eye, Brann." The sister reached beneath her robe and into her pack underneath. Withdrawn, her hand held another pendant of similar make, a rose glass pendant with the four Divine Weapons arranged out in four cardinal directions. Streaking throughout it, though, was a large crack that threatened to split the entire piece in half, "I didn't think they made these anymore. When I was a child, it was a very popular design here in Worus. This one, in particular, was a gift from my mother." She held the cracked pendant next to the new one, taking a moment to examine them as she turned them over.

: "Oh! Er, sorry Princess."

He put Diana back on solid ground and let go, looking away. He felt rather embarrassed, not really knowing what came over him.

"I... I didn't know you had one. And from your mother. I... I just... I wanted to give you something... because... I... I, uhm, appreciate what you've done and have really enjoyed getting to know you and... Yes, that's why. That's all."

Blushing furiously at this point, he sat down next to Ceil, staring at the ground.

I could just ask her what her sect thinks about marriage. But that'd be... forward and I'm just starting to like her, do I really want to jump that far already and...

"I'm glad that you like it. Maybe some time you can... tell me more about what your specific sect believes. I know that different sects have different opinions on some things. ... Like... marriage and relationships and also things like war and fighting and... Yeah, I'd like to learn more about what's important to you."

Diana watched Ursa look away, then after a moment stepped forward and awkwardly tried to hug him. She didn't have much experience doing so and, well, he was a little big to get her arms around.

"I didn't say you had to stop, you know..."

Enoch wandered back to the magic shop at a more leisurely pace than before, lacking the hustle and bustle he held when he needed to be somewhere, seeming to be looking for Lucas. Whatever he wanted to do, he seemed to have accomplished it.

Failing the store, he'll check out the harbor to see if he might of met back up with the others.

Lucas came back to the rest of the group. Ceil was talking with Brann, so he decided not to make the same mistake as before and wait until they were sure to stop talking. He saw Enoch had already arrived and walked towards him.

Welcome back. Before I was going to ask you about your light magic, but something at the store reminded me of your curse. Can you tell me more about it, like when it started or who is responsible?

The robed man frowned at the questions. "A trick by the quick, my wick in shambles and brambles." Enoch recited, with the exact same inflection as he had the time before, and the time before that.

He was silent for a while, looking at Lucas appraisingly. "I was a wild child, it was there I was beguiled and rhymed words reviled. 'Tis something to simply be smiled at and lived with, there are none to be riled at." He didn't expand any further, not exactly comfortable with this line of questioning, but after a beat-long pause spoke again.

"Where the corners cross, and there grows moss, there I gained the emboss, with its gloss and dross. I never said it was a curse, nor such that was worse. 'Twas you all who disperse that verse. To cut the jargon, it was a bargain." The man gave a toothy grin at the end, displaying his teeth that appear to have been sharpened to a painful, needle thin point with a fine tool.
