Well, they just stopped talking and just looked at each other awkwardly so I thought they were done... But why do you care so much?

"Well I don't care. Not as such. But they were talking. Just not verbally." Wilfort spared a glance at Lucas. "Actually, it occurs to me that you had no idea what you were interrupting. I suppose that can be excused though, you are a Magus. I bet you spent your whole childhood with your nose pressed in a book, right?"

If you mean that I usually keep my nose out of other people's business, you're right.

A grin crept on Wilfort's face. "Well, congratulations to you for having that luxury. But I never have, and I don't think I do now. You may go." Wilfort idly waved his hand at Lucas.

Times are changing. You're not in your castle waiting for the latest gossip anymore, so I suggest you adapt to the current situation.

Then Lucas went to his room.

Ursa, for his part, was perfectly content to stay at Diana's side.

"Oh, so you aren't part of the crew. That's reassuring." The fact that he'd said the crew was dead was good enough for her. From what little she knew of the pirates she knew they wouldn't claim they were all dead. Or so she liked to believe.

"Wait, Durhiel? Queen Diana? I thought that... Anita trailed off. Last she knew Durhiel had fallen to Exsten and based on that knowledge reasoned that the entire royal family had been killed. Apparently not.

"You mentioned working for her, right?" This was a one-in-a-million chance and, in Anita's eyes, sure beat wandering around without a purpose and falling prey to pirates or other ruffians again. "Tell you what, get me out of this, let me meet with your Queen and if she'll have me I'll join."

"Do I get a kiss for being your saviour?" He didn't let her respond:

"Just kidding. I can't find the key so we will get this door open other way." With these words, Oscar quickly left and climbed back on the deck, going straight toward Ursa and Diana.

"Princess, can I borrow Ursa from you for a moment? Because there's a locked lady who, from what I can piece together, got herself caught and was en route to be sold to slavery, and in her gratitude wouldn't mind to serve you for a while. But I can't open the door to the brig, as the key seems to be missing, so I would like Ursa to open it with his axe." Oscar explained with haste and urgency in his voice.

"Hey, wait a min-!" was all Anita managed to get out before the stranger had absconded up the stairs.

Ugh, that little twerp. At least I'll be out soon. Hopefully.

"Eh!? A prisoner? Of course, of course! Ursa, go ahead and go with Oscar, we'll talk later."

...I am SO glad we took this ship. That poor woman...

Ursa nods and gets up. He didn't really want to go, but it seemed that his strength was needed.

: "Where is this lady, Horse Archer?"

After looking at the ring for a moment longer, the mage gave it back to Brann. "I'd pay a wage that this is to go to a mage, unless I've misread it's page." He said, having reached a verdict on it. "A price in gold or power, best not sold for a flower."

Brann nodded slightly, turning the ring over in his hands.

"... Thank you Enoch. I... think I know what I wish to do with it then."

He hesitated and then walked back over to Ceil.

"Uhm... Ceil, I... have something for you."

"This way, this way!" Oscar grabbed Ursa by hand (eugh) and began dragging him down the stairs and toward the brig.

"This axe-wielding gentleman will soon free you, miss... whatever your name is. He's Ursa, my name's Oscar." Oscar only now remembered about formalities.
