The mage grimaced but smiled despite the pain at the beautiful display power and death, feeling he out did himself that time. Even part of the floor was missing.

"Just... Just a few to hew and their blood we spew..." There was a slight pause as the mage shivered a bit, the blackened veins in his face visibly pulsing for a moment, leaving the man breathing heavily. "Erg, hah, yes, their loss... Anew? Shoo?" He mumbled to himself, his eyes unfocused as he regained his bearings.

Maybe that attack took more out of him than he thought.

Frowning, Brann placed a hand on the man's shoulder.

"What's wrong? You don't look so good. Something's more wrong than just a wound. What's the matter?"

The mage hesitated for a moment, unsure. Whatever internal battle there was in his mind, the one that have him pause seemed to have lost. The surge of pain gone (for now), he mustered up an explanation.

"...Wounds of iron and steel are of awful appeal. They always nip at my heel with a burning zeal. The wound may heal, but not the gnashing-gnawing pain it makes me feel. Accused and vile." He snarled weakly, feeling some catharsis in speaking of his hate for it.

After a moment he mutters "While," quietly to himself, finishing the chain he left open.

"I... I'm so sorry. Could perhaps Ceil help with it somehow? That seems a terrible burden to carry for one who fights as much as we have been."

If Oscar kills the archer move to 9,14; if not, move to 11,13 and blast the archer point blank.
