"Sea is the worst thing ever." Oscar mumbled to himself, peeking from the stairs leading down, under the deck, where most of the quarters were. His eyes, tinted with red from interrupted sleep, glared at the calm waves.

Tyrn had been sitting outside on a crate by the entrance to the quarters. He stretched and stood up when he saw Oscar.

"Hey, Oscar do you have some string I could borrow?"

Brann wander out on to the deck and leaned against the railing staring out to sea.

"Headed home... I wish I knew what the council was thinking... Just handing over Ascalon like that... I know that Father would have objected. Though I suppose they are just doing what they think is best for them. No thoughts of the rest of the world...

"Glaringly azure... oh?" Oscar looked at the cavalier.

"I have lots of stuff in my sack under my bed. What do you need it for?"

What were we going to do in Worus again? The sea makes me forget things...

Oh by the way, I still have this thing. Lucas pulled out the Blade Ring.

"Fishing. Why you would want to be so close to this blue menace is beyond me. Do you need hook also?" Oscar mumbled, walking down the stairs and then toward his quarter, or rather, door-enclosed nook that had only place for a bed and small chestbox.

Tyrn followed him

"Do you have one? I can make do without it if  not."

Oscar pulled the bag from under his pillow and began to browse inside. He pulled out a comb, two needles stuck in a bottle cork, small handkerchief, pair-less black leather glove, a two-tined fork, and only then he managed to find a silvery hook. It was so shiny that there was no way he had used it even once. After a moment, he pulled out a wooden stick around which a vast amount of blue thread was wrapped.

"Hook and string." He said, putting the bag under the pillow again and handing the stuff to Tyrn. He toyed with a blade ring for a while before taking off his left glove and putting the ring on his middle finger; then he put glove back on.

"Do not misplace the hook. Thread I can always get more, but hook is... just don't misplace it."

"You have my word." said Tyrn as he took the items in his hands.

"You have my thanks."

Tyrn turned around and began unwinding a portion of the string and wrapping it around his fingers to judge the length.

After a while, Oscar went after Tyrn, would unwrapped at least five metres of the thread before the other end fell out of the wrap; there must be several strings wrapped there together.

"Sea." Oscar let out a sigh, sitting down at the stairs again. He didn't keep his head too high just in case some feral sharkbird or some other beasts he heard about would try to eat his face.

Diana, for her part, merely stood at the railing near the prow of the ship and watched the sea, her thoughts heavy and dark.

Otiros was standing in a specific spot almost like a statue with his crossbow on his hands yet, at least until he saw Diana by herself. He moved closer and lowered the crossbow, nodding to her as a brief greet.
"Milady. Is there something bothering you?"

Sitting on a barrel below the deck with a tome balance precariously on one knee along with a bronze knife and whittled object in hand sat Enoch. At first he was impatient and appeared quite sour at his surroundings, but after the first few hours the mage calmed and set to his task. Those who've paid attention noted that he's whittled several objects, all seemingly similar, but for whatever reason they would wind up in a refuse bin and he'd restart.

His current whittling subject appeared almost done, the farthest he had gotten on any of the strange totems he had been carving, and seemed to be looking it over with a fine eye and the occasional mark with the knife while referencing to the tome now and again, the Prelude tome from the looks of it.

Tyrn saw Diana and was about to walk over the check on her until he saw Otiros already had it taken care of. He gave a small smile and pulled up the box he sat on earlier closer to the side of the ship.

Once he got there he pulled his lance off his back and cut the piece of the string he measured out with tip. He spun it around and tied the string to the lance's other end and attached the hook and a small piece of his rations to it. He then cast it into the sea and sat back down.
