Exactly what Wilfort said.

Remnants of magic so powerful that it could best dragons...

And lots of sand.

Brann gave a half shrug before wincing in pain.

"I will be fine. My wounds have mostly stopped bleeding at least. I won't be in full health for a while, but until my body gets time for rest, there's no sense in wasting supplies on me. I will be fine."

He sighed and turned to face the arguing nobles.

"Look. I get that there's been a lot going on and that there's much that needs to be discussed. But this is just about the worst place that we could do it. We need to get out of here. Once the worst wounds have been taken care of, we need to put space between us and this place. Once that's been done, then we can focus on where to go from there."

Diana looked at Freya, and for a moment her expression softened.

"...Very well, we go to Worus to treat Freya's wounds. We can reach Osngaria and the Forsaken lands from the other side, anyway. Brann is right. Let's go."

Brann sighed in relief.

"Right then. Everyone who doesn't have a horse, get one. Grab horses for those who can't ride on their own right now as well. Jago's taking Freya, someone else should take Enoch. As soon as they're both stable, we should get out of here. There were more enemies behind us, and I don't like our odds right now if they catch up."

Wilfort began to urge his pegasus away from the others. "There's an old mine in the mountains. We can get out near Einjar, and sail to Worus from there."

The gem atop Ceil's staff burned brightly, beads of sweat starting to form on her forehead.
: "...And the next... Far too close to the heart... Could have punctured right there..." She continued to mutter until all of the superficial wounds on Freya's body were sealed. Scars formed in the larger of wounds on her chest, "...Stable, for now. By my recommendation, she shouldn't be in combat for at least two weeks while recovers."

She breathed a heavy sigh and wiped her brow, finally hearing that they may be heading out soon. For her, that meant heading home...
: "...I wonder if they're doing alright." She mused for a moment, but only for that moment before she rushed over to help stabilize Enoch. She would need to work fast to ensure everyone could handle horse travel.

Brann quickly found and saddled a horse for himself. After a second of hesitation, he saddled a second one for Ceil, and led both horses over to where she was healing Enoch. Looping the reins of one of them around a post, he quietly told her,

"This horse is for you whenever you're done healing. If the healing and battle has tired you out too much and you don't think you'll be able to stay in the saddle, you can ride with me until you're ready."

Jago sighed in both relief and concern when Freya spat up blood and spoke.
:"You're awake! You're awake... So... We need to ride, but... you're not going to be able to ride on your own so... Erm, you're going to ride with me, alright...?"
Jago scooped Freya up, and with a little difficulty put her onto the horse, sitting behind her to ensure she didn't fall off.

Ceil heaved a heavy breath as she finished the treatment on Enoch's lance wounds. It was a bit more shoddy, owing to her exhaustion after having spent so much of her energy on Freya, but it still did the job of stabilizing him. A moment's scan around, she could at least tell everyone was at least capable of horse travel. For a given definition of 'capable', anyway.
: "Ha... I think... I'll accept that offer, I'll need my strength to follow up later." She explained through heavy breaths, "Sir... Blann, was it?"

Smiling slightly, Brann shook his head.

"It's Brann, and there's no sir. Just... Brann. I come from a line of mercenaries in service to Worusan rulers. Becoming a knight... earning the title Sir... Lets just say I doubt it's in the cards for me."

Getting up onto his horse after looping the reins of Ceil's horse around his saddle, he offered a hand to the healer.

"Here. You've done more than enough. It's time for you to relax and allow others to do the work."

"Go, if you must. All of you. I'm fully aware that the path I'm taking is likely that of a madwoman, so I can't ask you to follow me any longer. Tyrn, Freya, Otiros, you are released from your duty. There is no longer a country of Durhiel to be loyal to, anyway. It's all Exsten now, frrom shore to shore. So if there isn't one good, solid reason for me to head to Worus, something beyond a slim chance we might be able to hide there, I'm heading out."

My loyalty is to more than just a country milady. I'm sorry but you're stuck with me."

Tyrn retrieved a horse for himself and climbed on

"I need to stock up on more of those vulneraries..."

: "Ah, Brann!" Ceil snapped her fingers as she remembered, letting out a little embarrassed laugh, "I'm sorry, my ears don't exactly pick up on names well..."

Ceil clasped onto Brann's hand and helped herself up and onto the saddle, taking a couple moments to adjust herself to minimize impact on her fractured leg.
: "My thanks... It seems like we're both headed homewards then. Was there anyone you wanted to see on your return?" Ceil asked, curious.

Diana looked at Tyrn, her emotions mixed and unreadable. After a moment she merely nodded to her childhood friend.

"I'm glad I can count on you, old friend..."

"No worries on the name. It happens, and I'm sure you've had more important things on your mind. As for home...

He shook his head briefly and sighed.

"My father expects me to take over his position and was... less than supportive of my desire to explore the world. He only let me go when I promised to return. I worry that he will take this as my returning home to fulfill the promise I made him and expect me to stay. But... I'm not ready to stay home yet. This fighting... It's not exactly what I was looking for, but I can't just abandon this group now that I've become a part of it. So... I suspect it would be for the best if I just avoided old faces while we are in Worus."

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.
