~Allied Phase 1~

Wilfort goes toward the locked door.

Meanwhile Beltana scowls upon her throne. "Those impudent children... Well, I can't truly say they're in the wrong... God. I don't normally ask you for anything. Not after you've given me so much... But keep Wilfort and Diana safe." The Empress moves from her throne, bringing the huge bow in front of her. Impossibly, it grows still larger, and the Empress' eyes take on an emerald hue. "Hmph. What are you thinking, Ansel? You were smart enough to destroy my gates, so what's your plan here? Well, I see no harm in picking off these dregs you call soldiers while I puzzle it out."

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

There is an orchestra of bumping and swearing as the group attempts to reach their destinations.

"It's a little crowded over there."

Move to (30,6).

"Prince Wilfort, wasn't it supposed to be sentries that would see Ansel's army long before they reached the gates?

Wilfort looked up at Lucas. "Of course. But I believe we have traitors in our midst. I was informed that the enemy force appeared from a mist or some such nonsense, right at the gate. What utter claptrap." Wilfort looked back down the long highway, biting his knuckle.

"A mist...?"

"...I think that could be the truth. Not that there aren't any traitors. There was some research in Osngaria about cloaking magic that could be used to sneak armies around..."

Wilfort stared aghast at Lucas. "What? You mean to tell me that whole armies can sneak around, unseen in broad daylight? This revolutionizes warfare- And why does Exsten have this? Osngaria should have been able to throw them back with ease if this is true!"

"It was deemed impractical! It requires a lot of energy and manpower, and even then a keen eye could see that something wasn't right. They must have gotten that knowledge when they invaded Osngaria but I don't know how did they pull it off!"
