"A trick by the quick, my wick in shambles and brambles." Enoch recited off what he had told the others when they first met, as if it explained everything.

"By need, not what I heed." The strange mage later amended.

Diana turned to the group.

"Is there anything anyone would like to sell?"

"Do you mean that's a curse? My, that's a very interesting curse, very rare. In fact, I think there's a book that-"

Lucas' voice drifts off as he rummages through the books.

"It's not here, but there's a tome about curses that produce random effects. If I get my hands on one I could study it to see if I can help you with that."

[Xanmyral]

Enoch failed to see the need to correct anyone and simply produced his two books, Fire and Lightning.

"This is to exclude should we not get prelude." The monk motioned with the Lightning book.

[Swordstar]

Brann fidgeted, and then finally spoke out,

"Right. Nosferatu, that Prelude tome, the heal stuff you mentioned already Princess, and maybe some vulneraries if we can afford them? I don't know about the rest of you, but I'd like to get out of here. Have some time to think. Maybe spar."

He shrugged and then frowned slightly again.

[SeriousConcentrate]

"All right. Let's do that."

Diana sells Otiros and Jago's training bows as well as Enoch's tomes, then buys Nosferatu for Lucas, Prelude for Enoch, Heal Staff for Ciel, and a vulnerary each for Brann, Oscar, and Jago, since there were no objections.

[Swordstar]

"Great."

Turning to the prince, he hesitated and then plowed forward.

"Right. ... Your highness. Is there a place I can spar or at least hit a training dummy or something? I need... I need time to think and the best way for me to blow off steam is through sword practice."

The party is left with 46 gold.

"Hm? Oh yeah, sure. The training grounds in the castle is what the knights use. I suppose as long as you're staying here, you can use it as you please. If anyone gives you trouble, tell them you have my okay."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"What about the mountain? Is it safe to climb? Ursa and I were thinking about doing some axe training up there, but if not I suppose we'll have to go to the training grounds as well."

"Not really. The side of the mountain within the walls was smoothed by masons a long time ago. It's a sheer cliff for a good ways up. You'd either have to go outside the city and climb from there, or have someone fly you up. I'd do that for you in a heartbeat if we weren't waiting for Ansel to show, but as it stands, I don't think I want to spare a flier. You understand."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"All right. Sorry, Ursa."

She turned back to the prince.

"Do you have training axes, then? I could probably make use of one."

[Sirus]

: "Ursa good at climbing mountain. Prince show Ursa the way to base? Want to try."

[Solymr]

DAH DAH DAH DAAAAH Lucas almost falls down due to the new book.
"Wow, it's a lot heavier than it looks. I guess knowledge does take a lot of space... and weights a ton."

"Uh, did you not hear sheer cliff? It's like a floor, except it's to the side. Oh forget it, fine, I'll show you. Do you two have anything else you want to do first, or are we going now?"
