Ursa nodded eagerly. Diana clearly had a good head on her shoulders, but he knew that already.

: "See, Princess good student! Won't be long before have axe of Princess' own."

"Well, I had a good teacher!"

She was secretly pleased by the compliment, but it was probably obvious that she was to anyone who knew her since her posture was more relaxed than usual. She certainly seemed a lot more comfortable at the moment.

"I do hope so. The sooner I am competent and comfortable enough to use an axe in combat, the better."

Otiros pushed his crossbow over a shoulder and looked to his sides before speaking up again.

"May I talk to all archers who aren't busy? I do... have a few questions, besides suggestions too. As a soldier and as a recent crossbowman."

Lucas spoke to Diana after she finished her conversation with the big man about axes.
"Since you were so kind to save my life and include me into your group, do you mind some proper introductions? Until they open up this is a good time as any other."

"I'm Lucas, an..." He took a deep breath before saying: "An exilé from Osngaria." He hid a little under his hood after saying that.

Oscar looked at Otiros.

"And what would those suggestions be? If you want us to put on Durhiel uniforms for formality or armor for extra protection, don't count on me. I prefer my old training shirt and the Exstenian beret. Much more comfortable to wear. Speaking of armor." The blonde didn't let Otiros chime in.

"Do you actually see anything through that helmet?"

It was about that time that another face peeked over the top of the wall. It stayed for a few moments before disappearing again, and a few minutes later the large gate opened up. Standing behind them was a young boy in opulent clothes.

"Welcome to Ulfijan, Princess Diana. I'll need you and your entourage to follow me. The Empress is expecting you."

Kale had been silent for a while. The last battle got him thinking about his past and how it lead to his present. Granted, he never went as low as that scum, but there were some similarities. His thinking was interrupted when he saw Ursa and remembered important business he had. "Pardon me, Ursa is it?" He got out the hand axe he took before. "Won this from a bandit that attacked us earlier. Thought it would be better in your hands than mine." He hands the axe to Ursa.

"Sorry, Lucas. Introductions will have to wait a little longer. But if it makes you feel better, I'm an exile too."

Diana turned her attention to the purple-haired boy with a quick curtsey.

"We'll be right behind you."

"Oh, nevermind."
Lucas followed after Diana.

Oscar slid from his horse and then led it after Diana.

"Hey, Princess. Who is that kid? Errand boy? Do you know him?"

Diana looked over at Oscar as they walked.

"Can't say I do. I've never been to the capital of Uljifan before. In fact... this is really the first time I've ever left my home country."

"I see." Oscar took one more glance at the walls and soldiers and then shook his head.

"You're not safe here. The city is clearly expecting a siege." He added in a hushed tone.

: "Maybe Purple Boy is this place's Princess?"

: "And don't be stupid, Horse Archer. Ex-ten attack everywhere, sound of it. Be ready to defend is smart thing to do."
