Jago waits for Freya to enter the stables before breaking the news about the horses to her.
:"Your horse isn't here. We should have enough horses for the riders in the group, but... everyone's horses aren't here."

:"Oh well, not like I was attached to it. It was a good horse."

She look at the herd

:"What sort of pick order are we going for?"

[Furtuka]

"Even if I somehow didn't want to, my duty binds me to not leave your side Princess. You can count on me."

"May I excuse myself for a moment milady? There are... obligations, that I have to fulfill before we leave. For father"

[SeriousConcentrate]

"I understand, Tyrn. We'll wait for you. And thank you, my friend."

[Furtuka]

"Thank you milady"

Tyrn made his way to the guardhouse, and  quietly began sorting through what remained.

[Praefectus Screptum]

"..No. I should be the one thanking you, for making me become more than just a soldier. And I do hope we can achieve more during this mission, I am sure there is a lot to be seen and learned yet."

Otiros presented a salute and lowered his crossbow for now.

[Powder Miner]

Jago blinked. That hadn't been the reaction he was expecting.
:"Er, I dunno, I'm not a horse guy..."

[scapheap]

:"It not a horse only thing, like if you serve a meal to a group of troops, there a pecking order. The knights are first, riders are second, etc."

She pats a horse on the nose.

[Powder Miner]

Despite the day, Jago began to cheer up.
:"Well, uh, I guess you guys should decide that for yourselves. There's going to be stuff you each want in a horse, right?"

:"Petty much. Said, outside of the jail, we haven't talked much. I'm Freya Feather, Cavalier of Durhiel."

She holds out a hand to shake.

Shuddering at the mention of the jail, Jago nonetheless recovers.
:"I'm Jago Teague. Ulfijani villager, trickster, and uh... royal soldier companion I guess? I dunno."

[Sirus]

Now that people were leaving, Ursa started to feel more comfortable. He walked over to Brann and crouched down near the still-resting man.

: "Glad to see Sword Man made it. Princess was happy to see her friends were safe."

:"Ah, Ulfijani. I been there, nice place. I once flew on one of their pegasi, passenger of course. Vow never to leave the ground after that."

[Peach]

"Well, since we'll be waiting a moment anyways..." Kale digs into a bag he was holding and pulls out a few loaves of bread, holding most out for others to take. "Now's as good as any time for a bit to eat."

[SeriousConcentrate]

Diana reached down and took some, passing half to Oscar.

"Good thinking. Thank you Kale."

She hadn't had anything to eat today, and her friends likely hadn't either.
