I'd like to play as one of the Atlus demon summoners from any of their various games. Or even the guys from The World Ends With You.

I don't want Atlus SMT characters anywhere near SMB... mostly because the SMT fanbase are just full of hate.
Ironic coming from you.

He's already got a pretty obvious smash attack, too. I want this.

Hey, I criticize and I am extremely negative... but I don't hate, and if I am I say hate.

SMT fans either HATE the SMT games or they HATE persona... and they keep going back and forth forever.

I think you're over attributing the vocalminority but this runs the risk of going off topic so lets not go any deeper into that

It wouldn't matter how minor they really are. They are loud and annoying and the best solution is just not to feed the fire and include SMT in anything but SMT.

I'm still shocked Simon Belmont hasn't shown up.  Megaman was the other obviously needed character, IMO.

You havn't been there, you havn't been in the trenches man. You will surprise yourself once you are there.

After reading 200 pages of "Why SMT is good and Persona is the worst thing ever and anyone who associates persona with SMT should die", you start dry heaving.

You don't know man, you just don't know.

---

I do hope Jigglypuff returns though. So many people keep trying to argue why she should be removed based on her current popularity.

Yet she is so unique as far as the game is concerned I'd feel like the game would be missing something once she is gone.

*shrugs* Only potential characters I care right now about are if they put Chrom and then wishful thinking of Lucina as an alternate marth costume or something

I'm actually betting Marth will be flat out replaced by Lucina. I'm hoping for a Miriel, at least as an assist trophy.
And if I really want to dream, then, well... Vaike.

Replacing Marth would be like replacing Pikachu or Captain Falcon. He's iconic to the game series he's from.

He's only been in two! I mean, noone from the original roster can be removed, but melee veterans aren't completely iconic, and there may actually be some brawl veterans leaving.

I just hope that the final installment of SSB, if ever it comes, has every character to ever appear in any of the SSB games

So replace Ike?

Okay, then removing him would be like replacing Olimar. The point is that he's the representative of Fire Emblem, being from the first game in the series, just like Olimar is representative of his.

So replace Ike?

Well, yeah. He's not really relevant anymore, now that Awakening is out. Roy was in Melee because Roy was from the newest Fire Emblem at the time; the same goes for Ike.

He not only appeared in five (including DLC/elaborate remakes) but, most notably, was the main star of the very first one.

Right now we know they are making a lot of cuts but we don't know where.

We could go by who barely made the cut in Brawl but that would mean Ness and Jigglypuff are likely on the cutting room floor.
