Wouldn't recommend the coolmax PSU. They're cheaply made and liable not to have all the actual cables you'll want.

Edit: a review shows that another Coolmax PSU advertised at 500W could only get 330W before frying, and became too loud and shakey over 260W, as well as not meeting various US safety regulations.

You're looking at buying a really nice processor and graphics card. It would suck if that PSU destroyed them.

Thank you. I was already on the fence about that, but that kind of pushed me over to finding a better one. Any recommendations?

AMD are a bit rubbish atm, get an i5 for almost same price.

Better having 4 fast cores than 8 slow cores imo especially with gaming where most games still only support 1 or 2 cores.

Roughly same price but intel has some 30% more performance and uses much less power doing so since it has 1/2 the cores.
