Shield in one hand, shovel in the other, hunt vampire, focus on easy disabling attacks against any hostiles. If the vampire is disabled at all, try to knock it to the ground, then direct the shovel-blade to its neck.

You walk around the store, as you make a few rounds you hear a clattering coming from where you just came from. The group forms a circle anticipating an attack, instead all noises, and sights slowly grow fainter, it seems the cut on Tooper's arm isn't attracting it.

Kyle pushes at Tooper trying to make him go forward, Tooper looks back and stares him down. Kyle quickly stops trying any physical attempts to egg Tooper on. As Tooper stops to listen, a clatter is heard from the front of the store, Tooper runs over to find the door broken, and a trail of blood leading out of the building, Zack's body is missing.
