I really should have mentioned this earlier, but here's the breakdown of how much you get per hour spent.

Fuel: 8
Food: 125
Medkit: 5
Ammo: 200 (sounds like a lot but you can burn through it pretty quickly.)
Money: 50
Tire/Battery/Muffler: 2

And just in case you didn't see it in the actual update we have 12 hours to spend.

I'd vote for 2 fuel, 2 ammo, 2 food, 1 medkit, and 1 money. I'm sure the car won't break down! (And we'll have to spend 3 hours to get one of each car part.)

2 of each car part...
True, sorry. I meant, to get at least one of each car part, we'd have to spend 3 separate hours.

Also, forgot that we had 12 hours, not 8, so maybe there is time to spend 1 hour on each part...

Well... I honestly don't know what a Finklefife is. It is quite honestly the first thing that came to mind.

We should probably work on getting some extra fuel if we can. Fuel will always be handy. Doing a job might not be a bad idea either. Also, IBM is bad at directions. Blasted outdated technology!

You lose an hour bickering with IBM.
And so it begins...

I'm guessing the guts are from the previous owner since we haven't actually done anything yet.
Either that or someone caught disentry and didn't mention it...

My top picks for upgrades are the following, in no particular order:
Cowcatcher
Solar Panels
Carrier
Toolchest

I would like to do a job Probably something crafty, or looty, or safey. To see what the jobs are like.

I further advocate investing in some fuel or food if they are cheap, and then leaving town. What is the zombie activity in the area like? Is there less to scavenge near settlements?

Zombie activity is at deadly right now, and it's looking like that's something that DOESN'T change upon reload. And as far as I can tell scavenging in a city doesn't effect anything aside from the tile set.

Well, I suppose we have lots of things to do right now, so we will have to wait until the next session of deadly zombie activity to go scavenging...

I could just go now, it's not like I'm in too much of a rush to move on to the next town.

Am I misreading you? Did you not want me to go scavenging?  ???

My primary interest is in doing a job, so as to see what jobs are like.
I was under the impression that scavenging in deadly zombie conditions would be a bad idea, so my suggestion that it was sad that we couldn't do it on this occasion was sarcastic. But I am also interested in seeing deadly zombie activity, so by all means, go ahead and show us the massive trail of zombies that you can accumulate...

You should probably just ignore everything that I have posted up until, and including, the above paragraph...
