the game is a MMO i dont know if anyone said this, but it does look really good even more so if there are groups of players fighting over the remains of the city. I have high hopes for it i just hope that we get a PC version. Although the gameplay trailer does look to nice to be on a console :P

Ubisoft says https://twitter.com/TheDivisionGame/status/344682013430804481

but a friend at Ubi Red Storm tells me they have it running as a rough port on a Win 8 pc quad-core. I don't know how reliable he is with this information or exactly how rough it's running, but it would seem to be good news. He said PC would target q3 2014 with testing in August. These are the beta seats he told me about. They have done the feasibility study already and the big hurdle is servers, as the consoles apparently operate on a different structure(?), but that if box sales for the consoles are strong they will push ahead with PC.

Honestly I'm surprised at all the pessimism in this thread.  I know it looks too good to be true, but that doesn't mean we have to go straight to the negative "This video is a lie and nothing here will come true!", because it could still be an incredible game.

You know what this game reminds me of? An entire game devoted Red Dead Redemption's multiplayer, but instead of an old west setting, they placed in post-apoco New York.  Which sounds amazing and I would play the crap out of it.
Better have low expectation and be surprised than believe and cry.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

Nobody wants this game to be great more than me. However, the potential to fail is just huge. Everytime one of these types of game has revolutionary gameplay concepts(the first ones with camouflage that made snipers disappear, the first one with drones, first one with commander mode, etc) tend to fail hard. This game is full of innovation and it's just too much opportunity for failure. I am confident that they will have to strip some of these features from the game before console launch, just to keep it from flopping. The drones controlled by tablet/phone is likely the first thing to get cut due to communications complications.

Fingers crossed.

I actually WANT that drone-by-phone thing to get cut, but hopefully early so it dosen't feel like a hole.

I personally think the drone stuffed looked cool, although I much rather that they work on more important stuff rather than have the drone stuff shoved into a game that doesn't work quite well, I suppose as long as they have good mechanics for it and balance it properly it shouldn't be too bad.

I read somewere that they are asking PC gamers to sing a petition if they want to see it on PC.

That's bullshit, they just want the PC crowd to do their own marketing. Since when did Ubisoft EVER ignore PC players?

Maybe if people ask for it they wont complain so much when the game comes inside a potato of DRM.

I found the video....quirky. Actors playing normal people was meta and humorous on several levels. I mean I get it, adult gaming, tablets, edgy people gamin' on the go. Very slick. (Although the part with the tablet player in an air vehicle popping in for 45 seconds was almost hammy. Who only has two minutes to game?)

The game itself? I'm interested. It's got so much future hologram cool shit it's hard not to be at least somewhat enticed. There were a lot of nuances to gameplay that you could miss if you weren't watching the right place on the screen. Again, it's a very slick presentation. Combat looked...well, to be honest, the combination of RPG and "realism" looked a little awkward. When I see a realistic shooter, I don't expect to see health bars and damage numbers and guys taking half a clip to the chest before dropping. That's up to taste I guess, but it hit me strangely when I saw it, my brain kept going "and now he falls....wait what?" The future tech and how it comes in to play looked pretty cool though.

Between this and Watchdogs, Ubi has two really nice looking IPs. Whether they're as fluid and dynamic as they're making them out to be still remains to be seen.

Someone loading the game on their tablet while they eat breakfast? :V

I will always hate Tablets... and I loathe their growing popularity.

"Oooh these graphics are great! I love using my Tablet... You know what we should do?"
"What?"
"Rub our greasy gross puke infected fingers all over it!"
"NO DON'T DO THAT!!!"
"Why not?"
"Because I have this pen so we can leave large scratch marks in it"
"Ohh you are so smart"

Me: "Hey Geniuses I have this laptop here that not only still works but the screen is still crisp."

If this... THE GREATEST SHOOTER EVER TO BE MADE... Uses the Tablet

Then I am sorry but you are all delusional... No "greatest game ever" can use the tablet. It is physically impossible.

Mind you my complaint about the tablet... may not be exactly fair, after all people just buy a one or two new ones every year. So if you just threw it out when it got tainted by filth and decay, it wouldn't be an issue. That and I hate things that ask you to ruin the screen.

Clearly you have never heard of keyboards..
At least a tablet/smartphone has a easy-to-clean glass surface.
I shudder to think of the millions of new strains of bacteria living in my keyboard.
