To answer the death questions, once the counters run down, the character gets an injury and remains unconscious on the battlefield. Healing won't let them participate, but they can follow around a conscious character as if they were being rescued.

Not using tactical retreat because It's dumb.

It's very little to do with Powder and everything to do with the 37 avoid that guy's packing. Jago has 118 hit, but he's indoors and facing a myrm.
