There's no way Ansel could win in a fair duel based on the conditions written in the Law. And if he cheated and just stabbed Beltana, the rule would pass to Wilfort.

In other words, you are so far off base that you're liable to get written up as AWOL.

Ansel cheats and stabs Beltana. Rule passes to Wilfor. Ansel then challenges Wilfor, and I doubt Mr "I'll have one of my servants get punished for me" Wilfor could win even a fair duel.

Maybe, but it sounds right really. They should of put a legal safeguard really. But I see that ending in a seige if he cheats, assuming he's smart and doesn't have the duel surrounded by Ulf soldiers. Like some sort of middle ground.

I mean, does he even need the keep then? Take the. Bow off her corpse, laugh a bit, move on. Ulf's left with a child leader who doesn't know what he's doing, no bow, and surrounded by Ext soldiers.
