Yeah, probably going with the 10 then. As crossbows have a specific damage, it is better get crit boosting and direct damage boosting abilities.

Or you could also get one for +2 Attack Speed with Crossbows, could also be useful. I'm considering that as soon as I figure out what class of sword I want to specialize in.

Keep in mind that crossbows are pretty heavy, and I don't remember how good their base Aim is. Might want to consider boosting Evade or Hit (or AS like SC suggested).

Mercenaries are set much jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none. Their stats are very average and you don't have the advantage of your trainee levels giving you potential extra stats.

Yeah, that's just a part of not coming in as a trainee. The only way you're going to become as good as the other characters will be through the good will of Velicostator.

Yeah, SPD will be really important on the beginning considering his CON isn't good enough to deal with the crossbow, that and his SPD isn't super duper high yet.

Kale can't move there until Tyrn moves, so if you want to trade that Lightning, Tyrn should move before Xan moves Enoch. Just sayin'.
