BTW, a week or so ago, BMM42 told me over the phone (We know each other IRL.) that we have the option of taking over the castle instead of fleeing it. There wasn't any ominous music or evil laughter either.

Plus my impression is that most of the forces that used to live here got annhiliated, so we won't have any help holding against an inevitable counterattack.

I guess kill the dude on the throne so Diana can sit on it. But, uh, we don't exactly have like an army or anything. I wonder what Blade will do if we actually are stupid/foolish enough to do that.

Well, if I remember correctly, BMM said the prince left the castle and the guy on the throne is currently in charge. Maybe we should wait for him to confirm/explain though.

That still doesn't answer the question of how we'd survive when the Extense King (y'know, the guy with the legendary one-of-a-kind S-Ranked sword) comes back with his army. Because he will come back, you know. Folks who conquer countries don't typically let the country break away so quickly.

I know, I'm not even going to try to take the castle back. I'm just thinking about this little 'what-if' scenario. Maybe Gram is still around somewhere...

Well, your failed pictured sums up what I'd suggest to convince him to do well enough. That or pay someone to off him for you. Just so long as you don't get your hands dirty yourself.

But I suppose if we go that far down the rabbit hole we'd instead be playing FEF: Nobles edition.

EDIT: Hm... Poison and sleep staves would do the trick too, I guess, but that would almost seem to be too easy.

Look, I'm just explaining our options. I'm not sure how that would work either, but to be fair, he's coming after us if we run too and we got a chance at recourses such as weapons and money this way. I'm not saying conquest is the better choice, but it's not all cons.

EDIT: I just thought of this, but if the prince did leave, he probably took the legendary ax with him, and if that's true, taking the castle back would be knocked down a ways on his priority list.

Okay, to clear up some points:

1. The King of Exsten left, not the Prince. The Prince was never even there.

2. Most of the invading force left with him- He only left a small garrison to hold the castle. Roughly half of whom you've slaughtered.

3. I did say you could reclaim the castle. Doing so would have concrete benefits. Attempting to hold it afterward would likely not go well for you, however.

4. Fog of War will come up at least once in this game. Provided you ride my plot rails/don't die.

5. FEF: Cleric Edition is such a good idea, I may run it as a gag when this is over.
