Oh, the usual, one night into the convention and I get kicked out of my hotel room, go home, go out to a movie and have to leave in the middle because I became physically sick.

My car is working nicely again, however, and I've resolved to spend the money that I'd previously earmarked to facilitate social interaction with girls of a nerdy nature on a 3DSXL instead.

No, my little brother brought in a hot plate, which was against the rules.

So they should have asked you to leave it in the car, or with the front desk. My point still stands, especially if you didn't know about the rule. I never would have guessed that hot plates might not be allowed.

Alright, to explain properly:

He brought in one of those induction burners. It does not generate heat on it's own, but rather uses an electromagnet to excite the molecules in metal pans, which heat when placed on the surface.

Then, he cooked like 8 pounds or something of mostacholli in the room, which had no refrigerator, so he kept the thing on, to keep it out of the danger zone.

Then he left it running while no one was in the room, and didn't even put a Do Not Disturb sign on the door.

So yeah, the fault lies with my brother, not the hotel.

Nah. I'm still deciding what avenue of vengeance to pursue, if any at all.
