Each member of the group is bound at the wrists. They also have rope tied around their waists, which the person behind them is anchored to. Diana is in front, so she doesn't have anyone tugging on her wrists, but she still can't move her hands above her shoulders.

I hope I'm explaining this clearly.

None of party is riding. The horses ridden by Biggs, Wedge and Freya are being led by one of the Exstenese, and the others are being ridden in turns by the enemy, with the exception of Eurydice, who Isard has taken full ownership of.

You are tied to each other, not the Exstenese soldiers. They figure even if you do all make a break for it, you're all bound at the wrist, and they only have to be as fast as the slowest among you.

I was kind of hoping that I could just grab the back of his shirt and whistle to make Eurydice take off, so Diana has the added weight of everyone she's tied to to anchor her so Isard falls off when the horse bolts. Then I'd have the person behind me able to help use the robe binding us together to choke the guy. No real plans beyond that. I hadn't gotten any farther than that and I don't have much else to do besides unrealistic speculation while we're waiting for everyone to report in.
