Pretty sure newcomers join at the same level as the rest of the party, with rolled-up stats. Unless BMM is doing it differently this game for some reason.

That's what I figured, I was just curious due to not rolling up stats at sign up. But... I guess the smart thing to do would be to wait til right before they were intro'd so that silly levels like this most recent one get counted and you're not rolling levels multiple times.

Gonna move south and chuck an axe at the archer. I can't get within melee range and still remain in cover, so I'm relying on my superior Hit to stay alive in a ranged battle.

Hm, best of luck then. I always tend to prefer more defensive tactics than offensive personally, but striking first and last is often better than waiting for them to hit.

Wouldn't fit Ursa's style. He needs to hit hard and hit first, or his low defensive abilities will be the death of him.

Sadly, I think reinforcements will be arriving soon to beat Ursa down and capture him.

Still, we'll see how it goes.

If you can manage to get to the deep forest again and heal after reinforcements arrive, I think you might be able to take a few more down with some luck.

Also thinking on it, you were right in that attacking would be better. You would of just had a stand off with the archer until he could rush you with reinforcements with him.

Exactly. Though I imagine the reinforcements will be too much to handle, archer or no archer. After all, BMM's gotta get Ursa introduced to the rest of the group somehow, right?

The only other way I see that happening is for Ursa to survive, follow the party (perhaps reasoning that the enemy soldiers are just more bandits taking prisoners), and try to rescue them for some reason. But again, that assumes he manages to win.

I guess things got inverted there. Ursa is being accurate and dodgy as a archer and the archer is being inaccurate and slow as a bandit.
