Haspen runs a game called Fire Emblem on Forums (FEF), which is his long standing campaign, and runs shorter ones more dedicated to newer players called Noble Emblem (NEF).

It's a good place to start, and there's usually a veteran or two who helps out with any questions.

Noble Emblem is short, linear, easy-going Fire Emblem where a bunch of newbies/not-super-hardcore-numbercrunching players have some fun for the time being.

There'll be like two turns of it where you're likely to actually tussle with enemies, now that I look at it. Also, it can be removed by application of magic healing.
