About the day 1 DLC for the new Rome TW game.
Seriously guys? That ticks you off?
The story goes that a part of the dev team (the ones in charge of new nations I'd wager) was done sooner than expected. And while their part of the work on the core game was done they went ahead and hammered out a couple of new nations they'd add to the game for free. For some reason it can't be in the core game, but it can be obtained on day one, with what will probably be a day one patch to fix some bugs that got into the gold version.
So again, that really pisses you off?
How about this, EA and SimCity. They have free DLC (atleast some of it) that is actually imbalanced in certain ways and gives benefits with little to no negative to offset them. Best of all, this DLC is actually marketing. As in, they were paid by a different company to market their products in SimCity by way of DLC that introduces something inherently flawed into the game.
And this isn't the only case, they've also done stuff with buying products that give you DLC codes which then give you bonuses or something ingame (again SimCity).
This, when marketing has become so obtrusive and and knows no bounds that it will go and jump in your face while you try to play, is truly enraging.
