Selina slowly puts an arm around Maria, blushing the entire time.

"As it so happens, I have to negotiate the transfer of a rare artefact from the Heian era from a dig site in Sapporo to Okina Museum."

Maria smiles.
"Dad,be sure to bring us something back, kay?"
"Yeah, dad, just like the Norman helm you brought from Bayeux!"

Matt had drool. Then again, George wasn't much better.
''I've really got to find a way to put off the aroma sensors on these portals.'' George said. ''I can see what I can whip up since that lot's made us hungry.'' Matt nodded, relaxing in a chair with plasters on his face and arms, testament to the spar he had.
''I'm not even one for Japanese cooking, as much as I love their culture.''
''Yeah, I'm surprised you know Japanese.''
''Oh, I know it inside out thanks to anime and my interests, so I started looking it up, read it and so on. Manga's are best read in Japanese!'' Matt smiled, drinking a cup of tea. George got a cheeky glint in his eye looking at this relaxed young man.
''Hey! Hey! Check this portal out!'' Matt practically spat it out as the portal zoomed in on Maria's skirt, slowly going in for a look up it as much as possible.
''Ch- STOP THAT!'' George was laughing, cutting off the portal before anything important could be seen. ''G-geez, you really have nothing better to do, do you?'' George's laugh echoed about the pub, holding his sides as he went to grab them some good food. ''Perverted old man with portals...''

He then shouts for no apparent reason.

Selina looks over at another table, where 4 teen boys seemed to be looking at her, snickering.
