"It been a month since I been here last. What the event? Layars declare war on Earth seem unlikely so I doubt that. Humans and Layars team up on Legions, the race legions, not my ship, maybe, I can see that happening."[/color]

"More aliens? Sweet. Are they li--What are they like? Reptilian, mammalian, cephalopodian, arthropodian, tar--oh, hello Mister Legion, I'm Angel Carlson. How are you? Hopefully Nuriel didn't put you off too much..."

"Kyle right, humanity far from doomed. There will be death, that a certainly, but humanity coming out the losers is unlikely..."

"There's something you're not telling us. Why is humanity so special?"

"That won't do anything. Alliance won't act in a war between young races. It's part of what shape a race and make them what they are and even if that rule didn't matter, they would have to come down on the Layar's side since they are the closest to being Alliance's members."

"Thanks. This is...kinda fun..." [11+5v17] Selina suddenly feels the weight on her back increase significantly. "Hey. Can't keep me off, can ya?"

Angel holds onto Selina too, a bit worried about falling off. She knew Selina meant well, but doubted the safety of piggyback rides as a method of transportation. She tried to stay still, knowing that that wouldn't help any...

(A little retcon. On hearing the Legion/Layar conflict, Matt would have asked the following question: ''Are the Legion are threat t-to earth?'')
(Matt's actions during the Kyle/Conny: He backed off and let them to it, smiling but hiding his own envy. He moved on to where Silver was having fully recovered his composure. He also totally takes credit for their session after his comment got Kyle going on a slightly weird tangent in the first place. Totally.)

Matt answered the soldiers.
''Allies. A-apparently, this 'ship' i-is alive, and h-his race come from earth too. Th-they a-as a race are asleep o-on this earth. Reviving them w-will level the playing field a bit, and provides an a-ally that we can easily identify. This guy-'' He pats the... hull? ''Is called Legion.''

Selina could feel Angel tensing up on her back, afraid to fall off.

"Just... just relax Angel... I-I won't drop you... See...? You don't have to... to look up at people..." Selina feels bad for Angel, not knowing much about having childish fun. She then remembers something Angel had said a while back, "Don't hate me." Selina realized what she meant now.

"Um... Angel...? You know i would.... I would never judge you for... for Nuriel's actions... right...?"

"...Thanks." Angel looked out at the soldiers. "Long-term, sir, we will need to deal with Layar craft. Study this one carefully, because it is what you will not be shooting at."

"Hm. Did you bring any sort of anti-air weaponry?"

"T-the others... of his kind will... will be bigger and stronger too... since their older..."

"Hang on. Where do we fit in this? If the Legions can match the firepower of Layars, then why are us magic users around? We can't exactly cripple their leaders."

"W-wouldn't we stop... stop the ground troops... t-they can't hit... e-every ship..."

"And neither can we hold back the ground troops."
"But we can."

Maria whirled around to see who had said that and was faced with a hooded youth, with a sword in his hand. (Matt and Kyle should recognise him.)

"Why hello there, Maria. A pleasure to finally see you."
"Who are you, precisely?"

"W-we don't know how many... how many magic users there... there are..."

Youth with the sword.

"Ah!" Selina backs up two steps but keeps her balance and her hold on Angel.

"All you need to know is that I'm on your side. I planned to make an entrance with this.."

He displayed a large, ivory horn, blowing through it.

"......but that didn't pan out as expected. I am Rhadamanthys, or rather, that's my magical name."

He extended his hand for Maria to shake it. She took it.
"Thanks, I suppose?"

"S-s-so you were... the one on... th-the phone...?"

"Was. My friends were under attack and I was forced to cut it short."

"S-so... you know more people that... that can help us... Th-thats good..." Selina tries to calm herself, helped a little by the fact that she doesn't want to drop Angel.
