"Um." He shifts uncomfortably "I think I'll go if she looks like she's geting up, don't worry. I didn't think she'd be like that, but I .. felt I should say 'hi' to you guys ... And girls." He looked down at his mostly-gone ice cream, then raised it half-heartedly. "Uh, Would this help?"

Kyle waves at the others and walks over to Katrina.
"Sorry about bothering you outside business hours. But has the wakazashi I ordered come in yet?"

''Felt like it, huh.'' Matt repeated quietly to himself, mulling over things. He took a quick glance for a second. ''Nice drawing!''

Selina slowly reaches a hand out and takes the ice cream.

"Um... thank you..."

She licks it a few times, calming down considerably.

"So uh... where are you from?"

Matt compliments her.

"Oh... uh... t-thanks..." She grows a bit self concious at the compliment, trying to hide the rest of the sketchbook's drawings. (Forest landscapes, rolling fields, and a fantasy castle scene with armoured knights glowing fairies and a collection of archery equipment in the center.)

He watches her eat the ice cream, visibly disappointed for a few seconds, having not expected her to really take it. "California. I'm an American. I'll be here all summer, and Ms. Katrina's son will be with my mom." He looks down at the drawings. "I like that bow on the left. Are you an archer?"

'What a strange girl. At first she appeared very shy, but then began talking to everyone and then nearly collapses from fear. It's like she's shy bu- wait... did I just compliment a girl? Holy carp! I did!' Somehow, in that little mind of his, he wondered where that fairy went. But overall, this had become a stressful yet rewarding day already. Who'd have thought it'd be like this after waking up to a hangover!

 A black-and-white cat trotted across the field and sat out-of-sight behind the tree. At least, it looked like a cat when it held its tails together and tucked in its wings. It knew that this was the place, it was radiating significance furiously, and these people were important too. This would be so much easier if it could actually hear the voices that it channelled. Its previous companions had made it clear that the voices wanted it to be in this region when, well, after those companions were gone... It spared a moment to think about its many past companions, and felt very old...
 The cat's thought returned to these new people, and their significance. Sensing the potential of things could only reveal so much, maybe these people knew something. It could try asking them, but that rarely went well, they would probably just think that it was playing. It pondered how it could still be so bad at charades after spending so much time on it. It once again mused on the 'humour' of the fates, what was the point of being a talking cat if you can't talk... It settled down amongst the roots of the tree, listened, and waited...

P.S.
 Unless I missed something, this has gone a very long way with no input from the G.M....

P.P.S.
 I am applying for the position of team mascot, potentially channelling mysterious voices with which the G.M. can further the plot. I currently have no idea what these voices might be, possibilities include:
 The spirits of deceased magic folk.
 Immortal spiritual entities who mostly just want to mess with folk to pass the time.
 Powerful entities that were banished from this world long ago for whatever reason.
 Echoes from the future. Important bits of conversation from possible futures, with the voices distorted by the temporal dislocation.
 ... Whatever else...

P.P.S.P.S.
 Proposed cat design is basically immortal, but can probably be injured badly enough to keep it dormant for a couple of generations, and effectively remove it from the story. Has an indistinct number of tails, and wings, but can only glide without additional magical assistance of some sort, possibly involving some sort of transformation, or being empowered by some form of emotion... Intelligent, and capable of communication, but can only talk when channelling voices, over which it has no control, and cannot actually hear the voices, so is limited to communication via actions.

"Um... n-no." Selina is blushing again.

"I just... like to draw a lot... um... do you... uh... want another icecream.... since you uh... gave me yours...?" Selina is nervous again, but saw the sad look on his face.

"Um... anyone else... want some... uh... icecream...?" Selina looks like she's trying her hardest to be friendly, not wanting to lose her first chance at making friends.

Score! More ice cream! Cyrus saw movement with the corner of his eye, and turned his head. His happy expression dimmed as he saw Ms. Katrina saying farewells to Kyle. "Thanks, but I guess I need to leave now. Next time." He gestured with his arms wide. "I'll be around."

He approached his guardian so she wouldn't get close enough to scare Selina again, and waved once as he was ushered off.

"So! Who wants the psycho to get them ice cream!

"Oh... bye... next time then..."

(Taking small control of matt) "Well uh... i better get going. Will i see you guys here tomorrow too?"

"Uh... sure... sa-same time?"

"Sure, okay. bye"  (And maybe i'll see the fairy again... or is that girl friends with it?) (Scratch all this if elf posts one more time)

Kyle strolls over.

"Um... uh... ar-are we safe... with you...?"

About as safe as you would be walking with a cheetah. Which as a matter of fact is really safe. So, that's a yes."

"Uh... sure... as long as Maria and Allistair can... um... can come too..." Selina is blushing a bit but not nearly as much as when she was talking with Maria.

Selina follows everyone to the icecream shop with Conny sighing in relief that Selina managed to calm down with the help of the kid and the man who saw her.

Selina offers to pay as they all get an icecream and sit at a bench together.

"So... uh... what do you all... uh... like to do...?" Selina is blushing again, and looking down at her feet a bit.
