I don't think so, actually. The reason given for them dying is that they're so dependant on their caster that they have no idea how to live without them: we, on the other hand, have our demon free will thingy, and survived just fine. I don't think the bond breaking has any direct effect, except possibly a loss of benefits from the master.

Allright, here we have arguably one of the biggest reason for the uh... "little pause". The Sorceress and her skills - I arranged her after the different schools, as active / passive would be a tad confusing in her case. After some rolling, it also become appearant that we still have buisness here. Which will have to wait - Imgur was an ass today, only allowing single-image-uploads. The plot might come sometimes in the morning. Anyways, Enjoy~

Well shit. Disk got fried. Some specialists might be able to get me the data, but I aint handing over 200 bucks for that, so no deal. Wich means.... dont expect this to start up before the end of next month, especially with me needing to find a way to get my laptop back into working condition somehow. wich is difficult in a foreign country with none of the pc-part-drivers, and even no windows available in the shops that i would be able to use. so yeah, shit hit the fan in that department.

But yeah, I could just draw some inferior versions of the team and get started. But I am enjoying the calm before the storm, seeing as now would be the time to get some sprites ready and what-not. Also, I do know most things by memory - but all those abilities do make for a hard chew to remember. Still need to draw the Ability-Pads for Priest and Vulpine too. Together with the total state of affairs (Wrecked clothes, locals stores only have them in too small sizes, finally own internet again - lotta stuff I have to catch up - and what-not) It will take some more time untill this gets off to a start again.

Especially as I did flesh out "This World" further, bringing us up to about 35 races - of the Major Races I would like to have at least 1 Pixel-Sketch each, seeing as the RNG will bring them up sooner or later.

Else, I opted against a "Creature-Level" System at the start, relying on Skills and Attributes instead. All bodily attributes give some bonus to hitpoints by the way - as is logical. All I'm going to say about that matter for now.  :P

Due to that steaming pile of junk-laptop having yet another failure (this time the screen), I decided to leave it be. Not only figuratively speaking. So~, until I get onto a working home-pc, get those disks to work and pixel the rest of those sprites, I doubt that there will be a continuation of this. Which means, no dice this year. But having half a year of hiatus, well. Lets see if I really want to continue it by that point in time, and if there is still any kind of interest after that timespan.

Also, kinda surprised that having a destroyed hard-drive slowed you down, Lurker; this whole thread I had, in the periphery of my thoughts, assumed you were writing and drawing everything on the spot from memory [and random.org]. 1st Edit: (I haven't searched through your post history to possibly find details, but it sure sounds like you had it rough! Almost like something that should make us thankful that you're back at all...
Also, kinda expected the part about touch attacks would be right on Elain's ability sheet, or part of the knowledge of any mage; I guess this means it's an uncommon trick, or has to do with mana-manipulating rules we don't know.)

Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch.
