Also, the wizard had a perfectly lethal plan for killing the adventurers, that they dumped most of their magic into, there was just a fault in the trigger mechanism.

Agreed, +1 for bandits. All else aside, probably not a good idea taking the part-demon familiar near there, especially not without some study first.

Well, possibly bandit then demon, but we can afford to wait till after bandits before deciding what to do next- who knows what leads we might find, what possibilities we may discover, what facestabs we may suffer.
