From personal experience you are probably going to need a more powerful PSU.  With a 650Ti and AMD FX-6300 you are probably looking at 600/700W To be entirely safe.  I've had two problems in the past with my custom-build and both have been PSU not being powerful enough.  And on the note of running Planetside (heavily CPU intensive game), six-cores should be an ample amount, but my AMD Phenom II 4x (Don't really follow AMD so I don't know whether FXs are better/worse whatever) can't even run it on low without lagging.

Today's shellshocker is http://www.newegg.com/Special/ShellShocker.aspx?cm_sp=ShellShocker-_-17-151-107-_-06102013_2 - a Seasonic 750W Bronze for $59.99 after rebate.  This is a pretty good deal, AND free shipping...

Cheaper Price for MotherBoard(MOBO)

Cheaper MOBO Shipping

Microcenter: Cheaper MOBO Pick-up only

Cheaper price for CPU

Cheaper Price for CPU Shipping
Microcenter: Cheaper CPU Pick-up only

_____

Do you plan to overclock down the road?
Also, are you interested in a better cooler?

I would also recommend you use Intel CPUs that a better capable to handle larger loads then AMD's CPUs. This is just suggestion that AMD CPU would be perfectly fine on what you plan to play.

For gaming you might want to get a fast Intel i3 vs an AMD cpu, AMD are a generation behind almost and even with more cores struggle to keep up with Intel..

Or even this:

http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Intel-Micro-Motherboards-GA-B75M-D3H/dp/B007R9CRGW

http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Core-i5-3470-Quad-Core-Processor/dp/B0087EVHVW

Will be miles better than any AMD combo.

With an i5 and 650 Ti Boost you will be able to play most games on high-max settings 1080p 60+ fps.

Drop the B75 motherboard, its only designed for business units so you aren't getting any savings from that.

For gaming you might want to get a fast Intel i3 vs an AMD cpu, AMD are a generation behind almost and even with more cores struggle to keep up with Intel..
Once again i explain that for gaming it really does not matter anymore, both their chips are fast enough for games and the AMD FX series is much better cause you are paying less. If you want to see a difference try photo editing, encryption, video transcoding, you will then see the intel performance. Other than that its just intel fanboism saying they rule the world :P

Hardly, in every benchmark between the 2 chips the intel chip is miles faster, especially in games.  Only time the AMD chip comes into play is with encoding or massive threaded apps that can use all 8 cores.

Even the older Phenom series of cpu from AMD was faster than the FX series in most tests lol and in gaming even an Intel i3 dual core will beat a AMD fx in almost all situations.

Dont let the AMD fanboyism blind you from the thousands of benchmarks that google will easily show and saying in gaming it doesnt matter is wrong, gaming is the biggest place where you will notice the difference and as benchmarks show, FX has terrible single core performance.  It can only match intels cpu performance by doubling the number of these slow cores and upping the speed quite a bit, which also makes the chip use tons of power and generate a load of heat to do the same work.

Single thread sucks no matter what im not going to argue that. Multithreading has been showing to matching or even exceeding intel's performance. CPU processing for gaming now relies on multicore processing so single core process performace is about dirt now. In all of the benchmarks i seen (Anandtech and Tom's Hardware and Overclocker's Club) Either there was a 20% gap in performance or the processor was matched (in that case the GPU was bottlenecking). For that 20% gap both processors were well above the 70fps mark meaning unless you are running a 120hz monitor, you are not going to find a difference as games are aiming for the 60fps max.
So thats it, you want better gaming performance you are better off dumping that extra 100 bucks on a better graphics card. I don't have to fiddle with any overclocking to make that 8350 any better nor would it make a difference. Money well more spent on   buying a fricking Nvidia GTX 680 or a AMD HD7970.

Im sure the board and cpu i listed almost exact match the price of the AMD combo, then theres the savings you get having a cpu that uses about 1/2 the power of FX.

Also if games have went all multi threaded then why does the FX cpu still do much worse in benchmarks and reviews?

The FX is a good chip for huge multithreaded work or for Servers but having 8 slow cores is pointless for a home/game user compared to 4x fastest cores out there atm.

*I just noticed it was a 6 core AMD listed too, it would have no chance against a Intel i5 as even a 8 core FX with 2x the cores and 25% more speed cant keep up with an i5 in most situations.

It all depends on if you want a fast and powerful cpu available and working now or buy the AMD and hope in future they eventually make things to take advantage of it and make up for its poor single core performance.

Currently Intel is by far the leader in performance and if you can get both at roughly the same price then theres no point in getting AMD.

Also about single threading sucking, most apps on the desktop are single threaded except for encoding or editing suites so everything you do on FX will be slower than on an i5, gaming or working.

Roughly the same price? lol theres already a 120 dollar difference with the FX-8350 and the I7-3770K and the FX-6300 swims around $140.
Im not arguing who is best, intel is best no doubt about it (i run a 2500k) but it costs just too much if im just doing gaming and for a budget AMD still can't be argued with much.

Well the price listed for the AMD 6 core setup above was about $250, the i5 3470 and board i listed was roughly $250 so i dont know what you are reading lol.

I run a i5 2500 too and its good, i upgraded from a Phenom x4 and i would have been pissed getting same or worse gaming perfomance for the costly upgrade haha.  I spent almost a month researching and decided to save longer after seeing how poor FX had done when it was released.

i was going to tell him to get a cheaper board but meh also thats a B75 board, only rated for business OEM computers so they kinda suck.

Theres nothing really wrong with business boards and theres no real difference between them or home boards.  The only thing different about the business boards according to the Intel chipset charts are:  No Intel Rapid Storage Tech(raid), no Intel vPro or Smart Response tech, which is strange considering they are mostly business type things lol.  Nothing that makes any difference to an average user tho.

You only have limited overclock with a B board but its not an overclocking i5 anyways.

Here's the other side, the B75 chipsets are low quality builds that intel threw out cause theres cheap bastards that will still buy them for a quick buck :P
I keep around the H77 series cause they can still handle alot more stress than the B series.
