Side note:

Why do I have to be fat T.T

Also will we get more info on our characters ? Like current ranks - so performing well or what ever else we could see our selfs being promoted given more responsibilities more ways to abuse things hehe..

Also what about skills so becoming a better shot or being good at something.

cut down in food a lot and start a exercise routine and try and get more guys to join in make friends that way

Start to stash ammo, water and food away only very little to start with.

Trade away the bayonet and a grenade for a good quality set of trench spikes

Start becoming friendly with one of the commanding officers and look for any extra roles I could take on.

Try to examine my gun, and go over it with my cleaning kit in an attempt to improve the quality.

Start making friends with other men in my unit, make some connections.

Cut down on my food and water intake to single rations, cut my alcohol and coffee to half rations.

Trade my ration of coffee for an extra ration of alcohol.

Trade in my extra one-and-a-half rations of Food and Water for a better Uniform, and a better helmet.

Try to improve the quality of my bayonet.

Trade two of my mags for a ration of coffee, or if that won't work just a half ration.
Trade my half ration of alcohol for a ration worth of smokes
Fix up my bayonet, if that doesn't work find a stick, sharpen it to a fine point, and bring it with me.

August 1914 Week 1: Gluttons, Bad Equipment and General lack of Healthcare

Eastern Front, somewhere around Stallupönen

Week 1 Orders: Light Guard Duty
You have occupied the town of Stalluopönen and wait for the Russians to arrive...really now what could possibly go wrong?
[10] While on a Patrol Erik finds a Great Coat...more importantly in grey! [7] It is of Good Quality. Erik gains Great Coat of Good Quality
[4] Arik's Patrols are calm.

Week 1 Free Time
[7] Erik easily manages to trade his ration of Coffee at the Quartermaster for more Alcohol, it seems the Qm is not getting out of bed in the mornings...
[4] however he laughs at you as you try to trade some food and water for a Uniform or a helmet...
[10] As you complain about your bayonet however, he produces a grinding stone and shows you how to use it. "Consider it a gift for the Coffee...bring the Stone back whenever. [10] And with it you immediately begin to work on the Bajonet turning it as sharp as possible.

Erik lost Coffee Ration, Erik gained Alcohol Ration. Erik gained Grinding Stone (borrowed). Erik gained a new Trait Comrade(Quartermaster). Erik improved his Bajonet to Average Quality

[1] As Arik goes to another Quartermaster and begins to haggle around a Oberst (Colonel) comes by and notices him trying to bribe the Quartermaster with Alcohol. As any good German Soldier should know bribing of Officers is illegal and can be punished...in your case by the Halfing of all your Rations except for Water.

[5,?] You walk away a good way from your Camp before trying to do some Accuracy shooting...on the front however this is not a good idea. [6-1] The same Oberst arrives a few minutes after you have fired your first shot and is arresting you. "Grenadier Bauer, i have an eye on you, one more such a joke and you will enjoy a whipping! HAVE I MADE MYSELF CLEAR?"

Arik's Rations have been halved. Erik gained a New Enemy (Oberst Steinmetz).

Mental and Health Conditions
[2] Heavy Summer Storms have turned the trenches and the whole area muddy, gnats are breeding like mad.
Erik Weather Roll: (3 +1 Boots)
Arik Weather Roll: (10 -1 )

Arik:
Your lack of Tobacco Rations is getting to you: Mental Health Reduced to: Stressed, other Effects: -1 Awareness, -1 Accuracy, -1 Charisma
Your lack of Coffee in tandem with your Tobacco withdrawal further reduces your Mental Health: Severly Stressed -1 Awareness, -1 Charisma, and causes you to develop a Condition: Insomnia

Western Front, Siege of Liege

You are Marching upon Liege, the First of the Belgian Fortresses. It is a heavily guarded town with a dozen or so forts surrounding it:

Week 1 Orders: [3]Assault on Fort Barchon
Congratulations, you drew the short straw!
[2] Wilhelm you indeed are in one of the worst positions whatsoever, you will Assault the Heavily Fortified Position, defended by Artillery and Machine Guns, in the First Wave. [Will be handled in a Mini-Turn]
[9] Bastian you are lucky, you are ordered to defend the Baggage Train. [7] Where not much of note happens.

Week 1 Free Time
Wilhelm
[4] Wilhelm your Diet doesn't really work out, indeed you feel rather sick...[Malnutrition!]
[3] The Quartermaster also refuses to give you a Trench Spike, especially not now that you try to trade in your grenades for it. He threatens to tell you off to the Commanding Officer if you continue to hand away your Equipment
[10] The Day before the Assault you meet a young Leutnant who is looking for Volunteers, you joke a bit with him and agree to join his detail. He sents you to the Quartermaster with a handwritten note. Once there you are handed a Breastplate and another grenade, aswell as the Trench Spike you wanted and an extra Ration Alcohol. Something is dawning ony ou that it wasn't THAT good an idea to befriend the Officer...
Wilhelm gains a new Friend(Suicide Mission Leutnant), Wilhelm gains a Good Quality Breastplate, a grenade, a Trench Spike and a Weekly Extra Ration of Alcohol.

Bastian
[6] You work on your gun for a long while and finally it seems a bit cleaner and a bit better working... Mauser upgraded to Bad Quality
[1] Turns out the Quartermaster and the guys at the Baggage Train hate people...or just you...whatever you did you did annoy both. New Enemy: Quartermaster

Mental and Health Conditions
[3] Heavy Storms and Constant Rain make you feel somewhat ill...
Wilhelm Weather Roll: [1+2] despite good boots and a dry tent you contract a Cold. Condition: Common Cold (-1 Awareness, -1 Stealth, -1 Weekly Health Modifier)
Bastian Weather Roll: [1] You contract the Flu Condition: The Flu (-1 Awareness, -1 Fitness, -1 Stealth, -2 Weekly Health Modifier

Wilhelm Condition Malnutrition: (-1 Weekly Health Modifier)

Spoiler:  Bastian Schreiber (click to show/hide)

African Front, Togo

Spoiler:  Map of Togoland (click to show/hide)

Week 1 Orders: On the March
Currently there is not much to do for you, Döring is still gathering mroe recruits and reinforcements...

Week 1 Free Time
Hans:
Quitting smoking isn't that easy and for the rest of the month (like the other soldiers who try) you will face ever more serious withdrawal effects...

[8= Good Quality -1 Equipment Quality = Average] Indeed the Quartermaster is not averse to trade in your Rifle for one for your rum rations.

[3] While being out hunting you run across a Warthog. It turns out Warthogs aren't that easy to kill and your now bleeding leg-wound shows for that...

[10] At least you got more luck at Playing Cards.

[2] Yeah trying to to trade your Tent with an Oberst...good idea, except it isn't. Your rations have been halved. congrats.

Rifle Quality upgraded to Average
Wound: Flesh Wound on the Leg (-1 Fitness, -1 Health Per Week)
Your Rations have been halved
gained two rations of Coffee

Zimmermann:
[1] The Quartermaster and especially the NCO now keeping a watch on your unit is not very pleased that you want to trade valuable ammunition for smokes and Coffee. Your Rations also got halved.
[7] You find a stick. You sharpen it. You now have a sharpened stick. I am sure the British will run at the sight of your terrible, terrible weapon.

Halved Rations!
gained Sharpened Stick

Mental and Health Conditions
[9] Its Twenty Four Degrees Celsius and a light wind is going. For Togoland that is eerily cold. But for your it is a nice weather change for the better.

Hans:
Condition: Malnutrition (-1 Weekly Health Modifier)
Condition: Dehydration: (-1 Fitness)
Condition: Tobacco Withdrawal (-1 Charisma, -1 Accuracy, -1 Awareness)
Mental Stability reduced to Stressed

Zimmermann:
Condition: Malnutrition (-1 Weekly Health Modifier)
Condition: Dehydration: (-1 Fitness)
Condition: Tobacco Withdrawal (-1 Charisma, -1 Accuracy, -1 Awareness)
Condition Coffee Withdrawal (-1 Awareness, -1 Charisma)
Mental Stability reduced to Very Stressed

Spoiler:  Hans Fritz (click to show/hide)

Spoiler:  Nalheim Zimmermann (click to show/hide)

_______________________

Several Things Again:

On the Rations. The Left Figure is what you are given each week. The Right one is What you need each week. If you dislike to consume a different amount than you need of your Rations you have to tell me.

Example: You get Two Rations a Week and Need One Ration. Now you can consume automatically consume the one Ration or given an order to consume two rations or evne only a half ration to save for better days.

On the Matter of Withdrawal: Quitting smoking, coffee or even Alcohol is hard. Those of you who have tried know how hard it sometimes is. The Maluses of these Needs will increase once every two weeks. After a month however they will decrease. So to effectively quit smoking you need to stop it for 2 Full Months. Reducing your smoking is easier and will take only one month. With only one increase in Maluses.
Malnutrition and Dehydration work differently however. The Maluses for that will constantly increase every two weeks, up to a point where you just fall over and die/need to be brought to a hospital.
Only after several months at the front your Need for food and water will automatically decrease as you can accustomed to the hardships of the trench.

Attempt to trade the half ration of alcohol to get my leg wound treated.
Trade 1.5 rations of coffee for as much food and water as possible.

Search around for food ( In the non animal form ) and clean water.

Work out a lot to build up my physical endurance. ( Do only upper body if I did not get my leg treated ) Drink .5 rations of coffee

How did I get two 10s? I might have to write a backstory after all.

Also, you gave me an enemy instead of Arik.

I know I gained a comrade. I'm complaining about Erik gaining an enemy.

Volunteer for the rearguard if our troops have one.
If there isn't a spot in/for the rearguard volunteer as a scout
