try doing a search for the lovebirds in gamelog.txt
All I get is this:
The flying ({bismuth bronze bolt}) strikes The Giant Peach-faced Lovebird in the right upper leg, chipping the bone!
A tendon has been torn!
The ({bismuth bronze bolt}) has lodged firmly in the wound!
The Giant Peach-faced Lovebird falls over.
The Giant Peach-faced Lovebird gives in to pain.
The Giant Peach-faced Lovebird slams into an obstacle!
The Giant Peach-faced Lovebird's right upper leg takes the full force of the impact, bruising the muscle!
The Giant Peach-faced Lovebird's lower body takes the full force of the impact, bruising the fat!
There is nothing before it..no indication of who shot it, before it are just tons of entries about sparring..
ah-ha.. I did find him in combat with a macedwarf..though I have no idea why a macedwarf would be anywhere near where the lovebirds were
The Macedwarf bashes The Giant Peach-faced Lovebird in the head with her ({steel mace}), bruising the muscle, jamming the skull through the brain and tearing the brain!
However, that doesn't explain the bolts..
in fact. there are more bolts, but no entry for who shot them.
It just looks like this:
The Macedwarf misses The Giant Peach-faced Lovebird!
The Giant Peach-faced Lovebird grabs The Macedwarf by the right upper leg with his right wing!
The militia captain stabs The Swordmaster in the right hand with his adamantine short sword, lightly tapping the target!
The flying ({bismuth bronze bolt}) strikes The Giant Peach-faced Lovebird in the lower body, tearing the muscle and tearing the guts!
what's stranger is that I don't have anyone in my fort who is a macedwarf.. I have no soldiers training that, and no one has any natural skill in it..It's not even time for the dwarven caravan.
my marksdwarves were definitely not anywhere near there. But there seem to be these bolts appearing out of nowhere..
